<p>To be honest, this has been coming for quite a while. Nuno was never Spurs&#8217; first choice when he took over in the summer and it was almost as if Spurs were forced into appointing him due to the lack of alternatives available. He was never a natural fit.</p>
<p>Recent results have seen Spurs slip to eighth in the table, with only two sides having a worse goal difference. That&#8217;s not too surprising given that only Norwich City have scored fewer goals this term.</p>

<p><strong>Underlying statistics have been very poor too.</strong> According to the <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/bigmanbakar/77">Fantasy Football Hub OPTA stats tool</a>, Spurs are ranked 20th for shots, 19th for shots in the box, 13th for big chances and 14th for xG this season.</p>
<p>When it comes to defensive numbers, they are ranked 16th for shots in the box conceded, 11th for big chances conceded and 13th for xG conceded. This pretty much highlights that <strong>Spurs have been a mid-table team at best</strong> this season and are in a position fully representative of their league statistics.</p>
<p>Nuno&#8217;s sacking has come in at a time when <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/bigmanbakar/74">Spurs&#8217; fixture schedule</a> was about to turn for the better. Fantasy managers and in particular, the owners of <strong>Heung Min Son (£10.2m) and Harry Kane (£12.1m)</strong> will be hoping that the new manager bounce will see their Spurs assets rack up high scores in the coming gameweeks.</p>

<p>As it stands, <strong>Antonio Conte is the bookies favorite to take over the Spurs job.</strong> This is being reported by multiple sources, including Fabrizio Romano and The Athletic.</p>
<p>The Italian has already proven himself at Premier League level and will be hoping for a successful stint with Spurs too should be end up joining. Conte has won league titles with both Chelsea and Juventus and is highly respected in the footballing fraternity.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s fair to say that Conte has had his share fair of success working with strikers in his career &#8211; Romelu Lukaku scored 47 goals in 72 league appearances, Carlos Tevez scored 19 goals in 34 league appearances and Diego Costa scored 20 goals in 35 league appearances under him. Harry Kane has been off color this season and could benefit from Conte&#8217;s arrival given the Italian&#8217;s past record and the likelihood of a new manager bounce. Marcos Alonso was another player to benefit during Conte&#8217;s stint at Chelsea and it will be worth noting should any of the Spurs defenders go through a similar upturn under the Italian given the three at the back system that the Italian likes to prefer.</p>
<p>Conte&#8217;s team have done really well historically when it comes to defence. Chelsea recorded 16 clean sheets in the league in both of the seasons Conte was in charge. Similarly, Inter recorded 15 and 14 clean sheets respectively in the two seasons Conte was their manager.</p>
<p>Some of the results that Antonio Conte has achieved in his first season at a club are nothing short of staggering. He took Juventus from being ranked seventh in the previous season to Scudetto winners while at Chelsea, he registered 30 wins in 38 matches taking them from 10th in the previous season to winning the league title by seven points. The favorable fixtures to follow and Conte&#8217;s history to start well means that fantasy managers should be well prepared to bring Spurs assets in their teams in the coming weeks.</p>
