<h2>Paul's Telegraph Fantasy Football World team reveal: Round 2 review</h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Another reasonably successful round. At the time of writing (mid Brazil-Switzerland match) I’m 597</span><span style="font-weight: 400;">th</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> overall. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Overall, my strategy has worked, albeit with some small disappointments, and I think I’m well placed to attack Round 3.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Here’s a summary of some of the key points from Round 2:</span></p>
<ol>
<li><b> The Netherlands block of 5</b></li>
</ol>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Ecuador scoring wasn’t in my plans and based on Louis van Gaal’s men not picking up maximum points, I’ve had to reassess moving on all the assets as they may play against Qatar in the first set of fixtures in Round 3 now.</span></p>

<li><b> The move to English defenders</b></li>
</ol>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The double move for <strong>Harry Maguire</strong> and <strong>Kieran Trippier</strong> immediately paid dividends, with 14 points returned collectively. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I removed the injured <strong>Neymar</strong>, so no fixture gain for that isolated move, but I did save on budget to allow future moves.</span></p>

<li><b>Piotr Zielinski and Robert Lewandowski</b></li>
</ol>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Polish pair stayed in my team after transferring them in for their opening game in Round 1 and my long-term moves paid off with two goals and an assist combined.</span></p>
<ol start="4">
<li><b>Kylian Mbappe</b></li>
</ol>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">With Lewandowski playing against Argentina in Round 3, I used him as my make-way for Mbappe, as France took on recent bogey-team Denmark. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">A double for the early candidate for player of the tournament, and with France potentially resting him in Round 3 I decided to move on immediately for…</span></p>

<li><b>Lionel Messi, Lautaro Martinez, and Angel Di Maria</b></li>
</ol>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Knowing Argentina had to come out attacking, I opted to bring in Martinez, as well as the previously planned Messi, to accompany Di Maria who was still in my side. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mixed returns for the trio, an immediate 10 point return for the Argentine captain and talisman, five points for the ex-Man Utd winger, but a two-point appearance-only blank for Inter Milan striker.</span></p>

<li><b> Belgium</b></li>
</ol>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Red Devils stumbled to a lacklustre 2-0 defeat against Morocco and my existing and new Belgian recruit, <strong>Kevin De Bruyne</strong> and <strong>Michy Batshuayi</strong>, returned only appearance points. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I had decided at this point I was going to rotate the third attacking spot all the way through to the round’s conclusion, having transferred out Argentina’s Martinez.</span></p>

<li><b> Mitrovic</b></li>
</ol>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Serbian could’ve had a hat-trick, but I was happy for the goal based on recent striker moves.</span></p>
<ol start="8">
<li><b> Richarlison</b></li>
</ol>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The final move in the rotating third-striker strategy.</span></p>
