After winter disruptions and FA Cup distractions, the Premier League gets back into full swing this weekend, making Gameweek 23 a rather important one for FPL managers.

Richarlison is a pretty popular player already, selected in exactly 13% of FPL teams. 
Only 31 players have been selected more, and only 10 MIDs. However, now might be the time for everyone to pile in and take the Brazilian to Mohamed Salah level popularity.
After initially struggling to adapt to life at Spurs, Richarlison has exploded recently, becoming the Premier League&#8217;s top-scorer since breaking into the starting line-up in December, with seven goals in seven games.
Up next for Tottenham is a trip to Richarlison’s old stomping ground Goodison Park. Despite the 26-year-old’s enduring popularity among Evertonians, it’s important to remember he needed no second invitation to score against them in a 2-1 win just before Christmas. That was his second goal in four appearances against Everton.

If Richarlison doesn’t take your fancy, or you already have the Brazilian selected, perhaps consider Liverpool’s Diogo Jota.
 The second-highest rated FPL player in terms of form right now has still only been picked in 10% of teams. 
Elsewhere there’s Michael Olise, if tomorrow’s fitness update looks positive. Palace play Brighton this weekend, and the midfielder has five goals and three assists in his last six Premier League appearances.

Selling FPL’s most selected DEF may seem a risk, but there are a few factors to consider here when it comes to William Saliba. 
First of all, next up for Arsenal is a clash against Premier League leaders Liverpool, who are in rampant form right now, most recently thrashing Chelsea 4-1. 
The Reds have enjoyed themselves in this fixture in recent times, losing just one of their last seven Premier League meetings with Arsenal, and scoring in each of their last 16 (!) netting 44 goals during that time.
Oh, and did we mention the form Jota is in right now? More on that in the next section.
Then there’s the fact Arsenal have been anything but air-tight at the back in recent times, keeping just two clean sheets in their last 11 matches across all competitions. 
Finally, you might be eyeing up the double gameweek for Manchester City that is on the horizon, and figuring out how you could reshape your squad to accommodate an extra one of Pep Guardiola’s elite talents.
Saliba is rather expensive when it comes to his position at £5.6m, so this might be a good opportunity to clear out some extra funds and avoid a possible Liverpool-shaped disaster for Saliba.

But hey, 37.3% of you have picked Saliba. He is, after all, one of the very best centre-backs in Europe right now. 
So, if you’re sticking with him, maybe getting rid of the £5.2m-rated goalkeeper Emi Martinez is something to consider. 
There’s no questioning his quality, but the Argentine has kept just two clean sheets in his last seven Premier League appearances, conceding 10 goals during that time as Villa’s form has wobbled.

Simply put, nobody is doing it better than Diogo Jota right now. The Portugal international has hit four goals and two assists in his last four Premier League appearances, resulting in Liverpool barely noticing Salah’s Afcon absence and subsequent injury. 
Jota also won a penalty against Chelsea, and would’ve increased his FPL points further had Darwin Nunez converted that spot-kick.  
Next up for him is Arsenal away, a trip he’s thoroughly enjoyed over the years. To date, no visiting player has scored more goals at the Emirates than Jota (5). 
Across his entire career, Jota has scored eight goals against Arsenal, with only Leicester City (9) feeling his wrath more. 
When it comes to direct goal involvements, Arsenal are his favourite opponent, too, with 10 (8g, 2a).

However, if you think Jota is due for a drop-off, or you just fancy doing something different, there are other options for your captain. 
Ollie Watkins, for example, has the most FPL points (128) of any player currently available, sitting second only to Salah for direct goal involvements with 18 (10g, 8a). 
Watkins was on the scoresheet once again on Wednesday, despite Villa falling to a 3-1 defeat against Newcastle United.
Next up for Villa is a trip to Sheffield United, who have conceded the most goals (54), shots inside the box (249) and xG (43.9) in the Premier League this season. 
All of which is to say, they are arguably the division&#8217;s worst defence right now.

Finally, it seems prudent to remind you that Erling Haaland is back in action. 
The Norwegian didn’t score on his return against Burnley on Wednesday, but in league play for Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City combined, he’s never gone more than two matches without scoring a goal upon returning from injury.
 Brentford will likely be well aware of that stat ahead of their meeting on Monday evening, especially given the Bees have conceded a whopping 24 goals in the 11 Premier League games since they last kept a clean sheet.
