            <p><em>2019/2020 <strong>Sky Fantasy Football Champion</strong> <a href="https://twitter.com/DorrianLiam">Liam Dorrian</a> shares his <strong>Gameweek 1 thoughts and Team Reveal</strong> ahead of the deadline.</em></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">After a long summer off and not playing any fantasy Euros games, I'm now raring to go with the new season upon us. My aim for this season is of course to win Sky Fantasy once again but I would be happy with another top 100 finish. </span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">The </span><a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Hub’s Fixture Ticker</span></a><span data-preserver-spaces="true"> was very helpful as I was able to filter the teams that had the best fixtures for the first three game weeks.  </span><a class="editor-rtfLink" href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/ian-parrins-sky-transfer-toolkit/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Ian Parrins Fixture Planner</span></a><span data-preserver-spaces="true"> is another Hub tool everybody should be using to keep track of their teams. </span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">The first thing I made sure of when creating my team was picking players who I think will start all three games. Secondly, I made sure my defenders all had a chance of picking up tier bonuses which has always been a key rule for my teams. </span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">I went with mainly tried and tested players with <strong>Toney</strong> being the only new player to the league. I'm playing it somewhat safe until the overhaul. The past two seasons I have gotten off to a bad start so I want to be in the pack this time and not 40 points behind. </span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">With uncertainties about premium picks such as </span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Van Dijk,</span></strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true"> </span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">De Bruyne </span></strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">and </span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Kane's</span></strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true"> playing time, it has been relatively easy to make a team I like. I feel this season will be more exciting than last season as there won't be a template team where everyone has the same 9/10 players. It will also be great to have the traditional three o'clock kick-off back again. </span></p>
<p><span data-preserver-spaces="true">I strongly advise managers to get their teams sorted well before Friday's deadline as the site has previously been known to crash. </span></p>

<h2><strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Liam's Gameweek 1 Sky Fantasy Football Team</span></strong></h2>
<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Here is my starting XI and some commentary behind each pick.</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">GK – Martinez £7.2m: </span></strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">Martinez has been locked in my team from day 1. Aston Villa have the best opening three fixtures in the league. I hope Martinez can get a few clean sheets and some save bonuses. He got 63 bonus points last season from saves, which was a brilliant return. </span></p>
<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">DEF – Soyuncu £8.2m:</span></strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true"> Leicester have a nice first three fixtures, where they have a good chance of picking up some clean sheets. Soyuncu should pick up passing bonus in these games and can also cover as captain on Monday 24th. </span></p>
<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">DEF – Dunk £8.2m: </span></strong>Dunk<span data-preserver-spaces="true"> and Brighton finished last season strong. I hope they can continue this into the new season. Brighton have the second best fixtures to start with so hopefully Dunk can pick up passing bonus. This is why I included him over the likes of Mings/Konsa who don't get passing bonus. These 2/3 points for passing bonus soon add up.</span></p>
<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">DEF – Dias £10.6m: </span></strong><span data-preserver-spaces="true">The first player in my team was Dias, he is almost guaranteed tier 2 passing bonus every game. Dias achieved 74 bonus points from passing last season. He is one of the few City players nailed on to start every game. Dias will be a season keeper for me.</span></p>
