<h2><b>What is the Sky Fantasy Football Overhaul?</b></h2>
<p>For anyone new to the game the Overhaul is the last chance you’ll have this season to pick a new team - essentially a wildcard in FPL terms, making unlimited moves until the first kick off at 6pm on February 5th 2022 without it taking any transfers off your tally.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>As always the definition of the overhaul from the Sky terms and conditions is :<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>

<p>“The second Overhaul period will take place from the conclusion of Gameweek 24 and run until the start of Gameweek 26 (Sunday January 23 start date until the beginning of Gameweek 26 (Saturday February 5, 18.00pm)”</p>

<p>Once the first game day deadline of the week has passed the Overhaul will expire and any additional transfers will come out of your remaining 40-player transfer limit.</p>
<p>There are so many questions and so many different ways to play it. It all depends on your current rank, transfers remaining and what you are trying to do.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>I’m currently 525th with 20 transfers left so I’m going to play it safe and hope that my extra transfers helps me to climb the leaderboard.</p>
<p>I’ll plan out the first couple of weeks when we have confirmed fixtures covering every captaincy and I can deal with further games as and when they crop up - delving into my healthy transfer count.</p>
<p>I don’t really want to be missing any single game days on the run in so I’ll be looking to cover these as and when they are arranged.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>I still think I’ll be selecting the most obvious players and by that I mean the ones with the most points and most selected amongst the top 1000 teams.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>

<h2><b>How many transfers should I have left for the Overhaul?</b></h2>
<p>With a bit of luck, you’ll have around 15+ transfers to navigate the run in and take advantage of the fixture rearrangements.</p>
<p>You can manage it with less but I think if you have more than 15 it will make things a bit easier.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>You always have to have the balance of not hoarding too many as maybe these transfers could have been used already to better maximise points potential. It des however depend on your position. I’d take being top with ten left. But again I fancy my chances of a top 100 from where I am with 20 transfers left.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>

<h2><b>Overhaul Fixtures</b></h2>
<p>There are 16 Gameweeks left after the Overhaul but with the postponements there is a bit of a disparity with the remaining games to play.</p>
<p><strong>Burnley</strong> have the most with 20 – does that make of their players more appealing? More games = more points? It may mean they end up with single game days as they try and fit in the extra games.</p>
<p>Burnley face Watford in the first game after the overhaul - a single game day. With <strong>Dennis</strong> now banned and maybe black listed by many Sky managers after his -2 captaincy against Norwich does that make a Burnley player a must have? If you are low on transfers this could be a game you consciously skip.</p>
<p><strong>Manchester City</strong> only have 15 games remaining and as they have the Premier League pretty sewn up will they put all efforts into winning a first Champions League?</p>
<p>This could mean we don’t pick the likes of <strong>Cancelo</strong> but despite five less fixtures I don’t think that I’ll be leaving him out just because he has less games.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>Checking the fixtures is key. Make sure you have a captain in place for each day and have a transfer plan.</p>
<p>Don’t forget that the FA Cup will cause a few blanks on the weekend of the 19th March and then subsequent Double Gameweeks will appear as games postponed due to FA Cup involvement are rescheduled, not to mention some games that still need to be played due to COVID postponements.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>There’s also the Carabao Cup final Chelsea v Liverpool (27th February) causing blanks and even the Club World Cup that will knock out Chelsea’s first two fixtures post-Overhaul.</p>
<p><strong>Chelsea</strong> will only play one game after the Overhaul in the time most teams will play four or five games. A Chelsea player shouldn’t be in your Overhaul team although I wouldn’t rule out one becoming an option later on as I think they’ll have a 3-1 or so at some point.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>We currently have the fixtures until the 26th of February however we are expecting some more fixtures to be released this week which will help with planning.</p>
<p>At present we only have two single game days confirmed - <strong>Burnley v Watford</strong> and <strong>Southampton v Norwich</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>Nick Pope</strong> and <strong>James Ward-Prowse</strong> will be popular picks with these matches in mind then it's a case of going through every game day and seeing who you’d want as captain. It’s easy to select a team when you have the pieces of the puzzle.</p>

<h2><b>Sky Overhaul Tactics</b></h2>
<p>If you’re top of your mini-league you can select a template team to keep your rivals at arms length.</p>
<p>If you’re chasing however it may pay to take a different approach in an all or nothing move. I tend to find that when you go away from the obvious picks it rarely works out. Sometimes having extra transfers is a differential.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>Tactics vary on where you are, how many transfers you have and what you want to achieve. If you’re in the top 100 and want to finish in the top 100 pick the template team.</p>
<p>If you’re in the top 100 and want to win it you could pick a template team and hope your transfer count, moves and captains can be the difference.</p>
<p>I don’t think I’d necessarily pick a differential team to make up ground as if you have a good amount of transfers and are top 100 as you can make the transfers count over teams that are running on empty.</p>
<p>If you’re low on transfers you’re going to have to either pick a team with most of February and March’s single game days covered or go without captains on certain days.</p>
<p>If you have plenty of transfers you need to utilise them to maximise points, gaining games in 2-0’s and 3-1’s etc.</p>
