<p>In this first of a series of articles, I’ll be analysing all the <strong>key <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a></strong> from each club, picking out the best picks from each and also upcoming fixture requirements and difficulty.</p>

<p>The data above provides us a quick view of who hit the bonus tiers for <strong>Aston Villa </strong>so far this season and four players are a little above the rest for bonus points. As a team <strong>Aston Villa </strong>don&#8217;t hit passing tiers very often (rank 15th in the league) so it is mainly tackles that they score points for.</p>
<p>Again <strong>Emiliano Martinez </strong>proves that the keeper is right up there for bonus, but from an outfield perspective three players stick out.</p>
<p>Both <strong>John McGinn </strong>and <strong>Matty Cash </strong>love a tackle and are very closely matched both over the season and in recent games (although the Scottish midfielder edges it with his MOTM potential.</p>
<p>The slight wildcard comes in the form of youngster <strong>Jacob Ramsey £5.8m </strong>he has started the last seven games and in that time has hit 14 bonus points, two goals and an assist, so if you are looking for an enabler he could be a great addition in the midfield.</p>

<p>Above is a list of players that have either fallen five passes short of passing bonus tier, or one tackle short of tackle bonus tier.</p>
<p>As we can see no player came close to missing out on passing bonus however 20 times players just missed out on tackles bonus and given the two best options <strong>John McGinn </strong>and <strong>Matty Cash </strong>were also just short of the tackles bonus so many times, they could be real options depending on a decent run of fixtures.</p>

<p>I have adapted the above table from a data download again from <a href="https://www.ffstuff.co.uk/">FF Stuff</a> to show us the best value players in the game, which could help us if we are looking to beef up our team with lots of premium assets.</p>
<p>I have split out the final two columns to show the best value over the season as well as the previous six weeks or so to give us a better oversight of the &#8216;in form&#8217; options. I would consider anyone around the 0.9 mark worthy of strong consideration.</p>
<p>Assisted by his bonus points recently <strong>Jacob Ramsey </strong>is proving great value currently and is priced extremely fairly at £5.8m.</p>
<p>With the new signing of <strong>Lucas Digne, </strong>game time could be an issue for <strong>Matt Targett </strong>and even though Ramsey is the best value if his playing time does get cut with the recent signing of <strong>Phillipe Coutinho </strong>causing a bit of a reshuffle in the starting line up, I think <strong>John McGinn </strong>could be a great option if any single day requirements come up.</p>

<h2>Fixture Analysis &#8211; Sky Fantasy Football Overhaul</h2>

<p>The fixture chart above from <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/ian-parrins-sky-transfer-toolkit/">Ian&#8217;s Sky Fixture Planner</a> shows the fixtures currently pencilled in up to the end of March, it also shows the rearranged games still remaining for each team.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s also worth bearing in mind that fixtures on the weekend of the 19th March are likely to change due to the FA Cup involvement.</p>
<p>From an Aston Villa perspective their next three opponents all rank in the top eight teams who allow tackle bonus, also their next four opponents all rank in the bottom eight for goals scored this season so a selection of <strong>Matty Cash </strong>for example could yield both clean sheet points and bonus opportunities.</p>
<p>Since Steven Gerrard&#8217;s appointment no defender (in fact only <strong>Christian Norgaard and Stuart Dallas</strong> overall) has made more tackles than the full back.</p>
<p>Given they have struggled to achieve passing bonus this season, and they face Leeds, who have only let four players gain passing tier against them (Matip, Dunk, Dias and Laporte) I wouldn&#8217;t be relying on that strand of bonus.</p>
<p>Newcastle on the other hand are the easiest team to hit passing bonus against so you could see <strong>Tyrone Mings </strong>achieving it in that game.</p>

<h2 style="text-align: left">Sky Fantasy Football Overhaul Summary</h2>
<p>With the fixtures we currently have and <strong>Aston Villa </strong>struggling to hit bonus regularly I think they are probably a swerve unless fixture requirement comes out in which case depending on the run, I would be tempted by <strong>Matty Cash</strong> for his tackle/clean sheet potential or <strong>Jacob</strong><strong> Ramsey</strong> if he enabled bigger premium options elsewhere.</p>
