<p><em>He brings us his weekly thoughts, giving us the highs and lows of his season, rounds up the bonus point beneficiaries, Man of the Match magnets and everything else you need to have a successful fantasy campaign.</em></p>

<h2>Gameweek 1 Review</h2>
<p>Well that was quite the weekend. It started well with an <strong>Ivan Toney 10 pointer</strong> on Friday, <strong>Mohamed Salah and Bruno Fernandes</strong> did the business on Saturday and even <strong>Michail Antonio</strong> delivered on Sunday.</p>
<p>I also thought it was great to have all the games on as it used to be rather than these elongated Gameweeks that lasted all week. The new live league tables worked well and Sky have even been quick to add some player pictures to profiles. However their Twitter account still has much to be desired.</p>
<p>I made a good start in both teams. 136 and 131 points and sitting in 1066th and 2334th. A bit better than last seasons start of Gameweek 1’s  81,000th or so.</p>

<p>I was surprised with Ivan Toney receiving Man of the Match against Arsenal which was a Sky Sports co-commentator pick that the reporter didn’t change. I feel owners have struck lucky there but as many of us own him we'll take it and move on.</p>
<p>It probably should have gone to the first goal scorer <strong>Sergi Canos</strong>. I know it also seems odd that <strong>Bruno Fernandes scores a hat trick</strong> and loses out to Paul Pogba but <strong>Pogba did play well and grabbed four assists</strong>. Yes it probably should have gone to Bruno, but I can understand it.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>Having captained Mohamed Salah I was pleased that he earned Man of the Match to reduce the deficit in points with Bruno Fernandes. I was a bit concerned having seen Fernandes pick up 23 points in the lunchtime kick off as b<span class="Apple-converted-space">oth Salah and Fernandes had an ownership of 46% apiece on Saturday morning. </span></p>
<p>Onto Sunday and <strong>having captained Michail Antonio</strong> I was again delighted with his Man of the Match after his eventful afternoon. I was fearing the worst after his missed chance and then saved penalty - but luckily the save was turned in so that became an assist to cancel out the minus three for the penalty miss and shortly after he scored and earned shots bonus.</p>

<h3>Bonus Beneficiaries<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></h3>

<p>As you can see some players did rather well with two lots of bonus - those being <strong>Jorginho, Tielemans, Soucek, Canos and Marcos Alonso</strong>.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p><strong>Ruben Dias</strong> failed to reach tier two passing. In fact only Benjamin Mendy achieved any passing bonus for Manchester City which is very much unlike them.</p>
<p><strong>Virgil van Dijk</strong> was the only Liverpool player to hit tier two passing for the Reds. <strong>Mings and Konsa</strong> both hit tier two passing for Aston Villa whilst five Chelsea players achieved tier two passing, and interestingly <strong>Guehi made 62 passes</strong> against Chelsea against Crystal Palace. If he can do that against Chelsea then surely he can do it most weeks?<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p><strong>Amartey, Tielemans and Soyuncu</strong> all made tier two passing and <strong>Ndidi just missed out</strong> by three with 67. <strong>Billy Gilmour made tier one passes</strong> for Norwich against Liverpool another one to keep an eye on.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>

<p>No surprise to see the top two with over 90% ownership. However after those two and then Antonio at 76% it is a much of a muchness.</p>

<h3>Gameweek 2 Preview</h3>
<h4>Saturday</h4>
<p>Firstly Saturday’s action and the pick of the games must be <strong>Manchester City v Norwich</strong>. The only problem as always with Manchester City is that we don’t get to see the line up and it would take a brave person to captain a City asset. I suppose you could go for <strong>Ruben Dias</strong> but after missing out on bonus last week and if <strong>John Stones isn't back</strong> I think I'll avoid.</p>
<p>If <strong>Ilkay Gundogan is injured</strong> then you could make the move to gain two fixtures.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> I do like <strong>Kevin de </strong></span><strong>Bruyne (£11.5m)</strong> who made a substitute appearance in the defeat to Spurs. In just two of the top 1000 teams he's quite the differential but again not a move I'm looking to make.</p>
