<h2 class="p1"><span class="s1">Sky Gameweek 1 review</span></h2>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">After weeks of shortlisting players and making draft teams the season was upon us. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">All those hours spent looking at fixtures and making plans were finally put into action. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">I find it a bit of a relief to get the season started, as it can start to fry your brain a bit with all the combinations of players and who you're going to captain. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Hopefully you had a good start to the season.</span></p>
<h4>Friday: Premier League match day 1</h4>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2"><strong>Gabriel Jesus (£9.5m)</strong> blanked on Friday night, which was as a shame for the majority of managers.</span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2"><strong>Oleksandr Zinchenko (£8.0m)</strong> would have been the one to have and captain. Arsenal's new signing managed tier-two tackle bonus, an assist and clean sheet for 13 points. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Some had captained <strong>William Saliba (£7.4m)</strong> who is looking like a great, cheap option, so long as he retains a spot in the starting 11. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">It's also noteworthy that <strong>Joachim Anderson (£7.9m)</strong> and <strong>Marc Ghuei (£8.0m)</strong> both hit tier-two passing bonus. The former also achieved tier-two tackle bonus.</span></p>
<h4>Saturday games</h4>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Saturday didn’t start off too well with the early kick off. Many own a Liverpool defensive asset or two, so Fulham’s two goals wouldn’t have gone down well. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">On the plus side, <strong>Mohamed Salah (£11.7m)</strong> grabbed a goal and an assist. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">The only Liverpool players to hit any bonus were <strong>Virgil van Dijk (£10.7m)</strong> and <strong>Joel Matip (£10.1m)</strong> with tier-two passing. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2"><strong>Darwin Nunez (£10.5m) </strong>achieved tier-two shots bonus as well as a goal and an assist in his second-half cameo. At 10.5m he is one to keep an eye on. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Those who owned <strong>Harry Kane (£11.6m)</strong> would have been disappointed that in a four-goal win for Spurs, he only managed tier-one shots bonus. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2"><strong>Eric Dier (£8.4m)</strong> and <strong>Cristian Romero (£7.8m)</strong> were admired by a number of engaged Sky managers, so it was disappointing to see <strong>James Ward-Prowse (£8.7m)</strong> crash a goal in after just 12 minutes. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Luckily, Dier managed to score his first goal in three seasons to make up for it. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Romero managed to make 63 passes to hit tier-one passes and Dier was just five short with 55, so it wasn’t all bad.</span></p>
<h4>Sunday games</h4>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Sunday was all about Manchester City and new signing <strong>Erling Haaland (£11.5m)</strong> - and he didn’t disappoint. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Haaland won and converted a penalty and then slotted home in the second half for a 14 point haul. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">Those who opted for <strong>Joao Cancelo (£11.0m)</strong> as captain still returned nine points. </span><span class="s2">He managed an impressive 106 successful passes for tier-two passing bonus. </span><span class="s2">Unfortunately he also got booked. </span></p>

<p class="p3"><span class="s2">You really need to check this out on game day if you haven’t already. </span><span class="s2">It shows you exactly who is hitting what bonus. </span></p>
<p class="p3"><span class="s2">I’ll give it a few more weeks of data before we can start to look for any trends with bonus. Some players who achieved bonus this weekend are also listed below.</span></p>
