<h2>Squawka&#8217;s Gameweek 10 Wildcard squad</h2>
Here&#8217;s how the Squawka Wildcard team lines up:
<h3>Goalkeepers</h3>
Our number one is Guglielmo Vicario (£5.2m). The Italian leads the league for both clean sheets (four) and save percentage (80%). 
Alphonso Areola (£4.2m) is the standout back-up buy, especially with West Ham’s favourable upcoming fixtures. He&#8217;ll be a handy option to step in when Tottenham Hotspur play the likes of Manchester City, Aston Villa and Newcastle over the coming gameweeks.

<h3>Defenders</h3>
Only Erling Haaland (£14.0m) has been selected by more FPL managers than Kieran Trippier (£7.0m) this season. 
It’s easy to see why. The Englishman already has six assists, all of which have come in his past four appearances.
Matty Cash (£5.1m) is the next defender in our squad. No defender in Europe’s top seven leagues has a higher xG in the current campaign.
Meanwhile, Pedro Porro (£5.1m) has a higher <a href="https://www.squawka.com/en/fantasy-football/fpl-squawka-score-fantasy-football/">Squawka FPL score</a> than any Premier League defender this calendar year (70%) bar Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.9m).
Vladimir Coufal (£4.6m) and Konstantinos Tsimikas (£4.5m) make up the rest of defence as strong, cheap options, the latter set to be first choice for Liverpool in the absence of Andrew Robertson (£6.5m).

<h3>Midfielders</h3>
The big midfield decision is whether to pick James Maddison (£8.1m), Son Heung-min (£9.5m) or both. 
We chose Maddison. Both of Tottenham&#8217;s easier fixtures in the next four are away from home, and Maddison has either scored or assisted in all of his appearances on the road this season. 
But ultimately we didn’t pick Son so we could afford Mohamed Salah (£12.8m), the best-rated player by Squawka FPL score (89%). The Egyptian has more FPL points than any other player this season, with attacking returns in all but one game.
Bukayo Saka (£8.5m) is another who consistently delivers attacking returns, failing to score or assist in just one of his seven appearances. He’s the most-selected midfielder in FPL.
Jarrod Bowen (£7.4m) is another chosen based on form and West Ham’s decent fixture list. 
Anthony Gordon (£5.6m) meanwhile continues to impress at Newcastle, with attacking returns in all his last four games.

<h3>Forwards</h3>
There&#8217;s no room for Haaland in this draft, with funds invested in the likes of Trippier and Salah instead.
Ollie Watkins (£8.3m) has attacking returns in all but one of his Premier League games this season, with five goals and eight FPL assists. 
Callum Wilson (£7.8m) is a paradox of a player. He isn’t a guaranteed starter and yet he still often finds a way to returns.
 Depending on how serious Alexander Isak’s (£7.5m) latest injury is, this may be a smart time to sign him.
We feel you need a Brighton player to make the most of their favourable fixture list too, and our pick is Joao Pedro (£5.3m). 
This is partly because he only costs £5.3m but also because his Squawka FPL Score of 60% suggests there’s more to come from Brighton’s record signing.
