Who are the best Manchester United FPL players for the 2025/26 season?

<h2>Best Manchester United FPL players: Bruno Fernandes (£9.0m)</h2>
Fernandes has been United&#8217;s top-scoring FPL player two seasons running.
He managed eight league goals and 12 assists in 2024/25 &#8211; attacking returns that saved the Red Devils from an <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/manchester-united-fpl-team-preview-2025-26">even lower league finish</a>.
The Portuguese midfielder has multiple routes to points, combining open-play goal and assist potential with set-pieces and penalties.
This all-round appeal is only likely to increase thanks to the new <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-2025-26-changes-defensive-contributions">defensive contributions points</a>.

He ranked joint-eighth for ball recoveries per 90 minutes last season (6.34), a stat that will have to be high for midfielders to reach the 12 defensive actions needed in a game to earn two extra points.
Overall, he averaged nearly 11 recoveries, blocks, clearances, interceptions and tackles (10.69), so would have earned plenty of extra points.
Fernandes is likely to play mostly in central midfield following the signing of Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.
While this could harm his attacking output, it could help his ability to earn defensive points &#8211; and coupled with set-pieces, he could be one of the best midfield picks in the game.

<h2>Best Manchester United FPL players: Patrick Dorgu (£4.5m)</h2>
Dorgu joined United in the January transfer window, adding much-needed depth to their options at wing-back.
While he did not register a goal or assist in 12 appearances, the 20-year-old showed flashes of his attacking abilities.
He completed 12 key passes for his teammates and one big chance &#8211; amounting to an expected assists (xA) of 1.38 &#8211; and contributed an assist in the Europa League.
The wing-back has looked sharp in <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-pre-season-results-guide">pre-season</a>, with a goal and assist against Bournemouth.
He looks to be the standout option among United&#8217;s defenders, who largely range between £4.5m and £5.0m.
Ayden Heaven could prove excellent value at £4.0m, however Dorgu offers more attacking threat and security of starts.
The first six weeks&#8217; fixtures don&#8217;t look the best for United but the Danish defender could be one to consider once the schedule settles down or as a rotation option.

<h2>Best Manchester United FPL players: Amad (£6.5m)</h2>
Amad had a breakout season in a United shirt, scoring eight and assisting eight in 26 games.
Injury prevented him adding to that total but when available, he was one of Ruben Amorim&#8217;s best players.
Like Fernandes, his position is likely to be deeper this season, with United&#8217;s new signings signalling Amad could spend most of his time at right wing-back.
But when he played there in 2024/25, it did not seem to limit his opportunities to get forward.
Price is a major factor in making Amad one of our top three options. He comes in at £6.5m &#8211; £1.5m cheaper than Cunha and Mbeumo &#8211; making it easier to justify selection early on.

<h2>What about Cunha and Mbeumo?</h2>
Cunha was an early summer signing, enabling him to feature from the start of pre-season.
But it took longer for United to negotiate a deal with Brentford for Mbeumo and at the time of writing, he was not fit enough to take part in any friendlies.
There&#8217;s plenty of time for Mbeumo to get up to speed but he is clearly behind his teammates and could have his minutes limited in Gameweek 1 if he is not fully fit.
While we expect both players to be a consideration at some point this season, it is difficult to recommend either before we&#8217;ve seen more from them as United players.
Both are priced at £8.0m, which feels difficult to justify early on given their tough fixtures.
