<h2>The Best Players for FPL Double Gameweek 23</h2>
<h3></h3>
<h3>Joshua King (£5.8m) and Emmanuel Dennis (£6.1m)</h3>
<p><strong>The two standout players for Double Gameweek 23 are Josh King and Emmanuel Dennis</strong>.</p>
<p>King has an effective ownership of 43% currently and Dennis has 60%. Come the deadline it&#8217;s very likely that they are both around 100% or more so not owning both could certainly harm your rank.</p>
<p>If you have both, great!</p>
<p>If you have one already &#8211; which I imagine is the case for a lot of FPL managers &#8211; then <strong>I&#8217;d get the other</strong> assuming there are no other major issues in your team.</p>

<p>If you have neither then using two/three transfers to get both in will be completely dependent on the condition and structure of your squad. I wouldn&#8217;t take a hit to get them both in, though.</p>
<p>Therefore, if you have to choose one,<strong> I&#8217;d go for King.</strong></p>
<p>It&#8217;s definitely a close one. What swings it for me is the <strong>recent eye test</strong>. Against Newcastle, King occupied a central role and even when playing on the left was running inside channels with a fair distance between him and the opposition full back.</p>
<p>Secondly, <strong>he was very involved when they went forward</strong> and had a few good chances to score. It&#8217;s uncertain whether him or Pedro will have penalties but considering Dennis isn&#8217;t involved in the conversation certainly aids King&#8217;s argument.</p>
<p>This by no means makes Dennis a bad option. <strong>It&#8217;s an extremely close call</strong>, but the recent eye test and the underlying statistics point to Joshua King. Hence, I&#8217;d captain him as well.</p>

<h3>Ben Foster (£4.1m)</h3>
<p>If you have him, then start him. Whilst Watford haven&#8217;t kept a clean sheet in their last 29 Premier League games, if there was ever a time to play him it&#8217;s now.</p>
<p>If he makes a few saves &#8211; which is quite likely given the nature of the fixtures &#8211; we could see a 5-6 point return across the two games without actually keeping a clean sheet.</p>
<p><strong>I&#8217;d only transfer him in if your squad is in optimal shape</strong> and you can afford to use this transfer without any repercussions in the next few weeks (very unlikely).</p>
<p>Finally, if you have to rotating goalkeepers and you want to downgrade one to increase funds. In that case, I&#8217;d say it&#8217;s a pretty smart move from a short and long term perspective.</p>

<h2>Which Players to Avoid for Double Gameweek 23</h2>
<p><strong>Absolutely everyone else.</strong></p>
<p><strong>There&#8217;s many problems with Burnley assets</strong> currently. Firstly, <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker/"><strong>the fixture set this week isn&#8217;t ideal</strong></a>. You would expect Arsenal to beat them and not face a massive challenge defensively. I&#8217;d also expect Watford to score which practically eliminates all their assets (especially without <strong>Chris Wood</strong> and <strong>Maxwell Cornet</strong>, Burnley won&#8217;t provide much of a threat going forward).</p>
<p>Secondly, after this Double Gameweek they face <strong>Manchester United and Liverpool</strong> which is far from ideal.  There&#8217;s not much going for them and the risk to reward ratio is so high it&#8217;s not even worth the consideration.</p>
<p>Regarding other Watford assets such as a defender<strong>, </strong>I wouldn&#8217;t go there either.</p>
<p>Like I said previously, <strong>Watford haven&#8217;t kept a clean sheet in 29 Premier League games</strong>.</p>
<p>Would I be surprised if they got one this gameweek? No. However, the long term implication of using a transfer/a -4 this week, and the fact they would take up a place in your squad further down the line, isn&#8217;t worth it at all.</p>
<p><strong>Joao Pedro (£5.4m) </strong>is an interesting one. <strong>He isn&#8217;t nailed to play over 60 minutes</strong> and the options discussed above are far safer and more proven.</p>
<p><strong>Pedro could potentially be on penalties</strong>, however that remains speculative and probably isn&#8217;t enough to warrant the purchase. The argument could be made he&#8217;s in goal scoring form following the fixture against Newcastle.</p>
<p>Personally, I don&#8217;t believe he&#8217;s worth the risk unless you really fancy a differential punt.</p>
