<p>It's fair to admit that despite all of the research that we <strong>FPL managers</strong> put in pre-season, it's highly likely that our well laid pre-planned strategies go out of the window very early.</p>
<p>I say that because the start of the season is a bit of a lottery. We only have the friendlies to go by and <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/"><strong>the data of the previous season</strong></a> may or may not hold significance.</p>
<p>This is why it's so hard to make the "perfect" team in pre-season.</p>
<p>The shrewd <strong>Fantasy Premier League managers</strong> need to think on a macro level. They need to be in a position where they can <strong>adapt with all the uncertainty</strong> at play. This is how they can do so.</p>

<h2>Stay Flexible | FPL Gameweek 1 Tips</h2>
<p>Make a team which allows you the margin and the <strong>flexibility to jump to different players</strong> should they hit form.</p>
<p><strong>Pick players at different price points</strong> to allow yourself the freedom to react more easily to unexpected events, such as an injury to one of your players or a transfer in the Premier League.</p>
<p>For example, as discussed in my <strong><a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-gameweek-1-team-reveal-bigmanbakar/">Team Reveal article</a></strong>, I have picked <strong>Bruno Fernandes (£12.0m)</strong> and <strong>Danny Ings (£8.0m)</strong>. Should I want <strong>Romelu Lukaku</strong> or <strong>Harry Kane (£12.5m)</strong> at any point in time, I can simply do so by removing Fernandes and making two transfers.</p>
<p>On the other hand, this will be very hard for someone to achieve who has spread their funds across their entire squad.</p>

<h2>Remember Your Player Allocation | FPL Gameweek 1 Tips</h2>
<p>Make sure you <strong>use the allocation of players from each club very wisely</strong>.</p>
<p>As we all know, <strong>Fantasy Premier League</strong> restricts us to a selection of a maximum of <strong>three players per club</strong>. Hence, it's very important not to pick a <strong>budget enabler</strong> from a club which you might want three better options from.</p>
<p>This is why I mentioned <strong>Yves Bissouma (£4.5m)</strong> in <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/highly-owned-fpl-players-to-avoid-in-gameweek-1/">my list of eight highly owned players to avoid in FPL</a> this week. I can see quite a few bargains at <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/the-best-brighton-fpl-players/"><strong>Brighton</strong></a> and don't want to restrict myself should I want more of their options at some point in the future.</p>

<h2>Don't Plan too far Ahead | FPL Gameweek 1 Tips</h2>
<p><strong><br />
Plan for a manageable number of gameweeks</strong>. Make sure you use the <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker/"><strong>Fantasy Football Hub fixture ticker</strong></a> when building your squad so that you plan for the short to middle term, and not just for <strong>Gameweek 1</strong> only.</p>
<p>You don't want to put yourself in a situation where you end up forcing yourself into an <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-chip-strategy-2021-22/"><strong>early Wildcard</strong></a>. Having said that, it's also important to ensure not to look too long term.</p>
