<h2 style="text-align: left;">Best FPL Forwards for Gameweek 2</h2>
<h3><strong><br />
Gabriel Jesus (£8.0m) – Arsenal</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Leicester City (H)</strong></p>
<p>Arsenal's new signing <strong>Gabriel Jesus</strong> had a fairly quiet game in Gameweek 1 as the Gunners beat Crystal Palace by two goals to nil. He only managed one shot in the box with an xG of 0.08.</p>
<p>However, Arsenal play Leicester City at home in Gameweek 2 which looks like a good fixture from an attacking sense. The Foxes don’t look like they have improved at the back since last season, conceding two goals at home to Brentford last week.</p>
<p>Mikel Arteta’s men are a good attacking side, and with the addition of <strong>Oleksandr</strong> <strong>Zinchenko (£5.0m)</strong> and <strong>Jesus,</strong> they will be a much better side this year. They scored 61 goals (6th) last season with an xG of 62.31 (5th).</p>
<p>The Brazilian is Arsenal's number one forward right now and will be nailed to start. Palace away wasn’t an easy fixture but this Gameweek should be a lot more fruitful for him. He is a proven Premier League player with 58 goals and 35 assists in six seasons.</p>
<p>Our <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker">Fixture Ticker</a> has Arsenal in the top five for attack for Gameweek 2. Also, our <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions"><strong>Points Prediction Tool</strong></a> ranks Jesus as the second highest predicted scoring forward (5.5 points) in the game.</p>

<h3><strong>Patrick Bamford (£7.5m) – Leeds United</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Southampton (a)</strong></p>
<p>Leeds United kicked off their season in impressive fashion by beating Wolves. They look a much-improved side to last season and the fact they have some key players back including <strong>Patrick Bamford </strong>will of course have helped.</p>
<p>We may see Leeds perform similarly to how they did in the first season they came up, rather than last season where they were almost relegated.</p>
<p>Bamford scored a very impressive 17 goals and 11 assists in 2020/21, and if he can stay fit I don’t see why he can't get similar numbers again.</p>
<p>Leeds play Southampton (a) in Gameweek 2 which looks a great fixture for them attacking-wise. The Saints conceded 67 goals (seventeenth) with an xGC of 66.4 (sixteenth) last term. They don’t look to have improved at the back as Spurs put four past them in Gameweek 1.</p>
<p>Bamford looks one of the best forward options for Gameweek 2. He managed an assist last week, and was perhaps unfortunate not to score also as he registered an xG of 0.89.</p>
<p>He has a nice <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker">fixture</a> this week to get off the mark and our <strong><a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Points Prediction Tool</a> </strong>has him as the third highest predicted (5.1 points) scorer for Gameweek 2.</p>

<h3><strong>Erling Haaland (£11.6m) – Manchester City</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Bournemouth (H)</strong></p>
<p>The Norwegian got off to a flying start in his Manchester City career as he scored a brace against West Ham United. An away trip to the Hammers isn't a simple fixture but <strong>Erling</strong> <strong>Haaland</strong> made it look easy, and he really does look world-class.</p>
<p>It’s no surprise as his underlying stats show him to be one of the best finishers in the world. In his last two and half seasons at Borussia Dortmund he scored 62 goals and 15 assists, with an xG of 49.52 and an xA of 11.46.</p>
<p>Haaland registered the best xG (1.83) of the Gameweek and he was also first for shots in the box (5) too.</p>
<p>City scored the most goals (99) last term with the second highest xG (90.66) and it’s going to be a scary prospect to think how many they will score this season with Haaland in the team.</p>
<p>Furthermore, he looks to be on penalties now also, as he slotted one in for his first goal.</p>
<p>City play newly promoted Bournemouth at home in Gameweek 2 which looks to be one of the fixtures of the season.</p>
<p>He is the highest predicted scoring player overall (8.5 points) for Gameweek 2 according to our <strong><a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Points Prediction Tool.</a></strong></p>

<h3><strong>Ivan Toney (£7.0m) – Brentford</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Manchester United (H)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Ivan Toney</strong> had a very good debut season in the Premier League, with 12 goals and five assists with an xG of 12.63 (4th amongst forwards) and an xA of 8.38 (2nd amongst forwards).</p>
<p>He looks to have continued that form into this season as he grabbed a goal against Leicester last week with an xG of 0.74.</p>
<p>He will no doubt have another solid season. Brentford are a good side and Toney is their talisman and number one penalty taker.</p>
<p>The Bees scored 48 goals (11th), with an xG of 53.22 (9th) and I don’t see why they can’t get similar numbers again.</p>
<p>He is a pivotal player for them and will be involved in the lion's share of their goals.</p>
<p>Brentford play Manchester United in Gameweek 2 who also seem to have picked up where they left off last season. They suffered an opening Gameweek defeat to Brighton at home and it seems like Erik Ten Hag still has a lot of work to do at Old Trafford.</p>
<p>I see this as a good fixture for Toney and our <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions"><strong>Points Prediction Tool</strong></a> agrees as it ranks him as the fifth highest predicted scoring forward (4.6 points) for Gameweek 1.</p>

<h3><strong>Aleksander Mitrovic (£6.5m) – Fulham</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Wolves (a)</strong></p>
<p>The Serbian could not have asked for a better start, scoring a very impressive brace against Liverpool. Judging by the Cottagers performance in Gameweek 1 they are going to be a tough nut to crack and <strong>Aleksander</strong> <strong>Mitrovic</strong> also looks a real handful.</p>
<p>His first goal was really typical of him as he shrugged off <strong>Trent-Alexander-Arnold</strong> <strong>(£7.5m)</strong> with ease and headed in a <strong>Kenny</strong> <strong>Tete (£4.5m)</strong> cross.</p>
<p>Despite being the Championship 43 goals and seven assists is no easy feat and he is now showing his class on the biggest stage.</p>
<p>Although Fulham have a tough game on paper I still think Mitrovic is one of the best forward options for Gameweek 2. Wolves are a good defensive team but as we saw in Gameweek 1 so are Liverpool and the Serbian forward isn’t easy to deal with.</p>
<p>He is also on penalties and the talisman for his club.</p>
