If you&#8217;re in a big mini-league and the loser would need to remortgage to cover the tab, why not spread the cost?
Let the top three (or maybe the &#8216;Champions League&#8217; top four) enjoy a free night out and assign a percentage of the bill to each position &#8211; leaving the loser with the biggest share.

In this forfeit, the best players form a committee and decide an added challenge for the loser.
From choosing the loser&#8217;s outfit for the occasion to a vile drink of choice for the unfortunate individual, the committee assumes the power of a state-backed superclub for one night only.
That could even stretch to banishing the loser from the event altogether, in favour of a quiet night out with a cardboard cut-out date &#8211; as one poor soul <a href="https://twitter.com/gregorsleith/status/1672676956284809217">experienced</a>.

If the &#8216;Extreme&#8217; version seems a little over the top, maybe a period of time spent in public in the full kit of their bitter rivals may suffice?
For those not too keen on the limelight, performing a stand-up routine at an open mic night might persuade them to get their fantasy act together in future seasons.
<h2>&#8216;The Motivator&#8217;</h2>
Maybe not to the extreme of forcing the loser to <a href="https://twitter.com/nickjstamp/status/1673304534528012293">walk from London to Brighton</a> &#8211; but a physical punishment could work wonders.
A 5k in a funny outfit &#8211; like you see at the London Marathon each year &#8211; or in the style of <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eCLp7zodUiI&amp;t=55s">Monty Python&#8217;s Ministry of Silly Walks</a> should add extra difficulty and motivation to avoid being in a similar situation next year.

But a month on tea-making duties in the office, or having to bake cakes for the workforce, may be a fitting finale to the season &#8211; and everyone benefits.
Working from home? The postage of a round of cakes to your colleagues is just a hazard that comes with the territory&#8230;
<h2>&#8216;The Can&#8217;t Handle the Heat&#8217;</h2>
Who can&#8217;t handle the heat of fantasy football? Hopefully they don&#8217;t mind hot food.
The Carolina Reaper is the world&#8217;s hottest chilli &#8211; and it lies in wait for the mini-league loser in this forfeit (or another brutally potent variety of your choosing).
For added interest, introduce a sliding scale of Scoville units for the other worst-ranked finishers. The lower you finish, the hotter the chilli you eat at the end of the season.
If you can&#8217;t source a Reaper, you can helpfully buy <a href="https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=one+chip+challenge&amp;crid=XTKJAXKAHQIY&amp;sprefix=one+chip+challeng%2Caps%2C117&amp;ref=nb_sb_noss_2">tortilla chips</a> coated in the stuff.
<h2>&#8216;The Super Size Me&#8217;</h2>
The late filmmaker Morgan Spurlock famously ate nothing but McDonald&#8217;s food for 30 days in his Super Size Me documentary.
Take inspiration from this for your mini-league forfeit and follow in the footsteps of Ryan Knaggs.
Ryan&#8217;s forfeit for losing his mini-league was to spend a whole <a href="https://twitter.com/MikeyJenno/status/1673374329759842328">24 hours in McDonald&#8217;s</a>. He could escape earlier &#8211; for every meal he ate, he got to take an hour off his time at Ronald&#8217;s place.
