<h2><strong>Matchday 2 Team Review &#8211; UCL Fantasy</strong></h2>
<p><strong>Matchday 2</strong> was a lot more successful compared to <strong>Matchday 1</strong>. I finished with a total of <strong>93 points </strong>which was good enough for a<strong> green arrow</strong> <strong>to 68,000</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>Gregor Kobel (€4.5m), Stefan de Vrij (€5.0), Noussair Mazraoui (€4.5m) and Joshua Kimmich (€6.5m)</strong> all returned with clean sheets and a few ball recoveries between them.</p>
<p>The substitution of<strong> Brahim Diaz (€6.0m) </strong>to <strong>Cesar Azpilicueta (€5.1m) </strong>turned out to be a -1 in the end. However, I still feel the substitution was worth the risk.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, <strong>Mohammed Salah (€10.5m)</strong> dominated with two goals and the Player of the Match award.</p>
<p><strong>Christopher Nkunku (€7.7m) </strong>finished with a goal while<strong> Edson Alvarez (€4.5m)</strong> picked up a few ball recoveries to round out my midfield.</p>
<p>My forward line was a standout in <strong>Matchday 2</strong> with<strong> Robert Lewandowski (€11.6m), Karim Benzema (€10.0m) and Sebastien Haller (€8.7m) </strong>all scoring a goal.</p>
<p>Switching the captaincy from<strong> Karim Benzema (€10.0m) </strong>to <strong>Robert Lewandowski (€11.6m) </strong>paid off. Lewandowski managed two goals compared to Benzema’s one.</p>
<p>I am fairly happy with my team moving into <strong>Matchday 3</strong> which is a good feeling having <strong>Wildcarded</strong> last week. Yet I have a few issues that need to be addressed.</p>

<h2>Goalkeepers &#8211; UCL Fantasy Matchday 3 Preview</h2>
<p>In goal, I don&#8217;t have a ton of confidence in <strong>Gregor Kobel (€4.5m)</strong> getting a clean sheet against Ajax.</p>
<p>Nevertheless, <strong>Yassine Bounou (€5.0m) </strong>plays on day 2 against Lille which gives me a good opportunity for a clean sheet in net.</p>

<h2>Defenders &#8211; UCL Fantasy Matchday 3 Preview</h2>
<p>All of my defensive assets have reasonable matchups. I believe each player has a potential to return so I will not be looking to make a transfer in defence.</p>
<p><strong>Manchester City</strong> play in one of the two early games on <strong>Matchday 3</strong>. As a result, targeting a defensive asset is a good strategy as we will get to see their starting lineup.</p>

<h2>Midfielders &#8211; UCL Fantasy Matchday 3 Preview</h2>
<p>This is also a good thing for their offensive players but I just don’t see a route into <strong>Man City for Matchday 3</strong>.</p>
<p>I am very happy to have<strong> Mohammed Salah (€10.5m) </strong>and<strong> Christopher Nkunku (€7.7m) </strong>who can both return despite their tough fixtures.</p>
<p><strong>Edson Alvarez (€4.5m) </strong>is in the team as a cheap ball recovery enabler and will be staying. The Mexican earned <strong>five points in Matchday 2</strong>.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, <strong>Brahim Diaz (€6.0m)</strong> has tested positive for COVID and looks unlikely to play.</p>
<p>I liked him long term and did not plan on transferring him out. Nevertheless, this news makes him a must sell.</p>
<p>It appears <strong>Geoffrey Kondogbia (€5.1m) </strong>has lost his spot with<strong> Rodrigo De Paul (€7.5m)</strong> returning to the Atletico Madrid lineup. He now looks like a transfer waiting to happen.</p>

<h2>Forwards &#8211; UCL Fantasy Matchday 3 Preview</h2>
<p><strong>Robert Lewandowski (€11.5m) </strong>and <strong>Karim Benzema (€10.0m)</strong> are not going anywhere. Yet I&#8217;m looking to possibly transfer out <strong>Sebastien Haller (€8.7m). </strong></p>
<p>This feels like a luxury transfer so I am not sold on selling him just yet. After all, he has a decent fixture against <strong>Borussia</strong> <strong>Dortmund</strong> upcoming.</p>
<p>My captain will be <strong>Karim Benzema (€10.0m)</strong>. I think his fixture against <strong>Shakhtar Donetsk</strong> is too tempting for me to pass up but <strong>Mohammed Salah (€10.5m)</strong> is also in my thoughts.</p>

<h2><strong>Confirmed Transfer &#8211; UCL Fantasy Matchday 3</strong></h2>
<p><strong>Brahim Diaz (€6.0m) to Arnaut Groeneveld (€6.0m). </strong>I am not happy to lose the Spaniard but with him out, I feel Groeneveld is a more than capable replacement.</p>
<p><strong>Villareal</strong> play <strong>Young</strong> <strong>Boys</strong> in their next two games so I feel confident the former <strong>Bournemouth</strong> winger can return.</p>

<h2><strong>Possible Transfers &#8211; UCL Fantasy Matchday 3</strong></h2>
<ol>
<li>I am waiting for any possible team news but as mentioned earlier, <strong>Geoffrey Kondogbia (€5.1m)</strong> looks to have lost his place for <strong>Atletico Madrid</strong>. Despite not settling on a replacement yet, I have <strong>€1.0m</strong> in the bank and I&#8217;m keeping an eye on <strong>Luka Sucic (€5.5m)</strong> and <strong>Joao Palhinha (€5.5m)</strong>. Admittedly, I&#8217;m not excited about either of them.</li>
<li><strong>Sebastien Haller (€8.7m) to Karim Adeyemi (€7.1m). </strong>Adeyemi has been in red hot form but this feels like a luxury transfer.</li>
<li><strong>Save transfer.</strong> This was my original plan but external factors could twist my hand.</li>
</ol>
