In this UCL Fantasy article, Kevin will review his Matchday 4 team, the substitutions he will make for Day 2, and his upcoming strategy moving into Matchday 5.

<h2>Confirmed Transfers – UCL Fantasy Matchday 4 </h2>
As mentioned in my <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/ucl-fantasy-matchday-4-team-reveal-champions-league-fantasy-tips/?feed_id=7812">Matchday 4 Team Reveal</a> article, I could not finalise my transfer plans until I saw the Chelsea starting lineup.
Once I saw Cesar Azpilicueta (€5.3m) was starting, I knew I could take this as an opportunity and try and upgrade my midfield.
I felt I had two good options based on my budget:

<li>Christopher Nkunku (€7.9m) &amp; Joao Palhinha (€5.1m) to Kai Havertz (€9.0m) &amp; Noah Okafor (€5.0m)</li>
<li>Christopher Nkunku (€7.9m) &amp; Joao Palhinha (€5.1m) to Leroy Sane (€9.1) &amp; Noah Okafor (€5.0m)</li>
</ol>
I decided to go with the first option. Ultimately, I played it safe knowing Kai Havertz (€9.0m) was starting upfront against Malmo.
Julian Nagelsmann stated in his pre-game press conference that a few key players would be rested for the weekend so Leroy Sane (€9.1) felt a slight risk.
Noah Okafor (€5.0m) got the start for Salzburg playing in a front two and I thought he had upside playing for an offensive team.
In the end, I ended up missing out on 7 points as Leroy Sane (€9.1) finished with a goal and assist while Kai Havertz blanked.
The German had his chances but the risk proved to be worth the reward. I should have gone with the in-form Leroy Sane.
I’ve been playing fairly safe this year and this decision backfired. It&#8217;s time to learn and move on.

<h2>Matchday 4 – Day 1 – UCL Team Review </h2>
It was a mixed start to Matchday 4, finishing with a total of 60 points. That’s in large part to a Robert Lewandowski (€11.7m) captain haul.
My confidence in Yassine Bounou (€5.0m) did not pay off as Sevilla conceded 2 goals in their loss to Lille.   
In defence, Cesar Azpilicueta (€5.3m) produced a clean sheet finishing on 7 points. 
Joshua Kimmich (€6.6m), on the other hand, did not. He finished with 3 points and will be a substitute for Day 2.
My previously mentioned midfield transfers did not pay off with Kai Havertz (€9.0m) finishing with 3 points and Noah Okafor (€5.0m) finishing with 2 points.
Villareal’s Arnaut Danjuma (€6.2m) picked up a goal in the 89th minute and finished on 8 points.
The story of Day 1 was my captain Robert Lewandowski (€11.7m) marking his 100th Champions League appearance with a hat trick to go along with an assist. He could have had even more but he missed a penalty at the end of the first half! Needless to say, I won’t be changing my captaincy.

<h2>Matchday 4 – Day 2 – Substitutes </h2>
<ol>
<li>Yassine Bounou (€5.0m) to Gregor Kobel (€4.7m). Bounou finished with 1 point so I will take my chances with Dortmund’s goalkeeper Kobel. </li>
<li>Joshua Kimmich (€6.6m) to Stefan de Vrij (€5.2). This defensive substitute is pretty straight forward. Kimmich finished with 3 points while de Vrij has a good opportunity for a clean sheet playing Sheriff.</li>
<li>Noah Okafor (€5.0m) to Edson Alvarez (€4.6m). This is not an exciting substitute. Okafor only finished with 2 points and Alvarez does pick up ball recovery points so hopefully he can outscore 2.</li>
<li>Kai Havertz (€9.0m) to Noussair Mazraoui (€4.7m). This one pains me with Havertz blanking after my transfer. Mazraoui was left out of Ajax’s game at the weekend due to illness, but all reports indicate he will be back for the game against Dortmund.</li>

<h2>Matchday 5 Planning </h2>
As of right now, I plan on using my Limitless Chip in Matchday 5. In my opinion, using this chip in the group stage has higher upside than in the knockout stage having better fixtures to target.
Bayern Munich and Manchester United play in the early games on Day 1 and will be the teams to target as managers can see their lineups before locking in their teams.
Matchday 6 tends to be a time when teams rest stars as the progressing teams get ready for the knockout stage. This makes it very difficult to predict lineups and could make the Limitless Chip less impactful.
I am still not 100% but these are my thoughts as of now.
