<p>The Ultimate Fan app has been updated ahead of the 2022/23 Premier League season, with a minimum of £2,500 of cash prizes up for grabs each FPL gameweek.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s free to play and provides a really fun alternative to FPL that combines fantasy football and pack openings.</p>

<p>In this article, we set out everything you need to know about Ultimate Fan.</p>
<h2>Ultimate Fan: Getting started and entering contests</h2>
<p>To get started on Ultimate Fan, download the app from the <a href="https://ultimatefan.app.link/FFH-Web">Apple App Store</a> or <a href="https://ultimatefan.app.link/FFH-Web">Google Play Store</a> and complete the registration.</p>
<p>You&#8217;ll then open your base pack which contains 10 team and player cards to use in the Ultimate Fan contests.</p>
<p>Some cards a rarer than others, with limited fixed production runs, which will inevitably fetch higher prices on the marketplace &#8211; more on that later.</p>
<p>Acquire new packs in the Marketplace or by completing challenges, referring your friends or riding your login streak.</p>
<p>There are free to play contests running across each gameweek of the Premier League season.</p>
<p>Once your base pack is opened, select your lineup for the contest. You&#8217;ll need one team card, two defenders, two midfielders and one forward, plus one utility player.</p>
<p>Remember to assign the Captain&#8217;s Arm Band and Golden Boot MODS to your team. The Captain&#8217;s Arm Band will receive double points and the Golden Boot receives double points for a goal.</p>

<h2>Ultimate Fan: Scoring and leaderboards</h2>
<p>The scoring matrix on Ultimate Fan bears plenty of similarities to FPL: players acquire points through the key attacking and defensive actions of goals, assists and clean sheets. Clean sheet points are scored by defenders only.</p>

<p>As well as players amassing points, teams can do too: remember you&#8217;ll select one team in each lineup.</p>
<p>A win for your team scores 5 points, with goals scored and clean sheets also gaining one point. Goals conceded result in a deduction of one point.</p>
<p>Ultimate Fan are giving away cash prizes in their free to play fantasy games, spread across each gameweek of the Premier League season.</p>
<p>In the initial Gameweek 1, the prize pools stand at £2,500, extending to £5,00o in Gameweek 2.</p>
<p>First prize is worth £500 and payouts are made all the way down to 100th place.</p>
<p>Users will also automatically be entered into Ultimate Fan Clash each gameweek made up of five users, with the winner receiving a free pack, containing a bonus gold or silver card.</p>
<p>Gold UF cards contain the top 15% of Premier League players, while silver UF cards contain the top 40% of Premier League players.</p>
<p>As well as receiving a 10-card pack drop on registration, there are additional ways to improve your squad, including with the 250 UF Coins given on registration.</p>
<p>You can also set up your own mini league or take part in invitational leagues and play for top bragging rights with your friends.</p>
<h2>Ultimate Fan: Marketplace and Coach</h2>
<p>Every user will begin the season with a free 10-card pack and 250 UK Coins to get started on the 2022/23 season. However, it&#8217;s possible to use the Marketplace to improve your squad further.</p>
<p>Ultimate Fan uses coins as their currency to buy, sell and trade cards.</p>
<p>Find your coin valance in your UF Wallet. In the Marketplace you&#8217;ll find packs to purchase with coins, coins to purchase with real cash, cards to buy and a section to list your cards to sell.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s possible to buy a wide variety of packs at gold, silver and base level, plus positional packs for forwards, midfielders, defenders and teams.</p>
<p>Each pack contains three cards, with prices starting from 125 coins.</p>
<p>Users can earn additional cards by maintaining a login streak: open the app daily to continue the streak.</p>
<p>Maintain a 10+ day login streak to receive one silver card every day. Refer a friend with your unique code and you&#8217;ll each receive four bonus cards.</p>

<p>Another new feature for 2022/23 is the ability to get a UF Coach NFT on Opensea and use it as a mod to boost your points.</p>
<p>Check the rarity features and points boosting attributes for each UF Coach, then connect your MetaMask wallet to play it in UltimateFan. You can use a maximum of two coaches per lineup.</p>
<p><strong>There&#8217;s lots more coming from Ultimate Fan this season, including private trades with friends, weekly challenges and tiered leaderboards.</strong></p>
