<p>A decent week! A gameweek rank of around 400k saw me climb from 559k to 350k. Still nowhere near where I want to be but with my Wildcard in hand, I hope to keep making big jumps.</p>
<p>There were lots of returns here, with my Crystal Palace triple-up doing bits. The decision to go double Liverpool defence was the wrong one, as was captaining <strong>Mohamed Salah (£13.6m)</strong>. This is however all outcome bias.</p>
<p>It was an incredibly swingy week and I feel for those who kept <strong>Erling Haaland (£14.1m)</strong> instead of moving him to <strong>Jean-Philippe Mateta (£5.1m)</strong>. Just horrendous luck in itself but the margin of the swing has nothing to do with skill, as no one predicted such a score. So try not to be too down about it - you made the decision based on the information you had at the time.</p>

<h3>Goalkeepers</h3>

<p>Fulham, Sheffield United, Brighton, Burnley and Everton are conceding the most FPL points to opposition goalkeepers.</p>
<p>Arsenal, Liverpool, West Ham, Newcastle and Everton are the teams scoring the most FPL points in this position.</p>
<p>Newcastle now have a lovely run of fixtures and a double in 37. News on <strong>Nick Pope (£5.3m) </strong>could determine if <strong>Martin Dubravka (£4.3m) </strong>is a nice budget option.</p>
<p><strong>Dorde Petrovic</strong> <strong>(£4.6m)</strong> is a popular option but <strong>Robert Sanchez (£4.5m) </strong>could come back and take his spot any time.</p>
<p><strong>Guglielmo Vicario (£5.3m), Andre Onana (£5m) </strong>and <strong>Ederson (£5.5m) </strong>are also under consideration given they double but in truth I'm not excited about any of them!</p>
<h3>Defenders</h3>

<p>Wolves, Sheffield United, Fulham, Burnley and Everton are conceding the most FPL points to opposition defenders.</p>
<p>Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle, Manchester City and Everton are the teams scoring the most FPL points in the defender position.</p>
<p>Newcastle appeal again but as we will see in the following sections, they appeal in every position.</p>
<p>Manchester United, with Burnley and a double, look like an option. However, in terms of expected goals conceded (xGC) only Luton, Sheffield United and West Ham are worse over the season. This means that if I do get any defenders, I don't expect many returns: it is just a fixtures play.</p>
<p>Tottenham Hotspur's defensive fixtures are not good - similar with Chelsea. <strong>Malo Gusto (£4.3m) </strong>was a budget option but he is now injured and reportedly ruled out until Gameweek 36 at the absolute earliest, so I won't go there. <strong>Destiny Udogie (£5.0m) </strong>being injured won't help Spurs either.</p>
<p>Brighton's 4-0 defeat to City last night reiterates to me that I don't fancy them on Wildcard or Bench Boost, although <strong>Jan Paul van Hecke (£4.1m) </strong>is a budget enabler if you need one.</p>
<p>I'm also considering keeping <strong>Gabriel (£5.4m)</strong>.Arsenal are still in the title race and keeping clean sheets relentlessly. Having some coverage there seems like a good option.</p>
<h3>Midfielders</h3>

<p>Luton, Brentford, Burnley, Sheffield United and Bournemouth have conceded the most FPL points to opposition midfielders so far.</p>
<p>Spurs, United, Arsenal, Liverpool and City are the teams scoring the most midfielder FPL points so far.</p>
<p><strong>Anthony Gordon (£6.2m) </strong>has great fixtures and is more than likely a lock in the team. Midfield is pretty congested though, as there are lots of options. <strong>Cole Palmer (£6.2m) </strong>is also a lock, along with <strong>Son Heung-min (£9.8m)</strong>.</p>
<p>The next two spots are tricky. <strong>Phil Foden (£8.2m) </strong>and <strong>Kevin De Bruyne (£10.4m) </strong>could either both be included or just one. <strong>Bruno Fernandes (£8.4m) </strong>is also on my radar. If <strong>Richarlison</strong> <strong>(£6.8m)</strong> is due back soon, he is also an intriguing option.</p>
<h3>Forwards</h3>

<p>West Ham, Luton, Nottingham Forest, Burnley, and Sheffield United are conceding the most FPL points to opposition forwards so far.</p>
<p>City, Bournemouth, Luton, Burnley and Aston Villa are the teams scoring the most FPL points in the forward position.</p>
<p>The main focus again are teams that have double gameweeks.</p>
<p>Chelsea's fixtures for forwards are pretty good. I think I'll have to go with <strong>Nicolas Jackson (£6.8m) </strong>just for the volume of fixtures. It's a risk as he's been very wasteful, an even worse <strong>Darwin Nunez (£7.8m)</strong> when looking at the stats.</p>
<p>We need news on Haaland. If he is out again, I can either bench him and wait or go without him, freeing up a lot of cash in the process.</p>
<p>If Haaland is out, I could move to <strong>Julian Alvarez (£6.4m) </strong>or take a punt on <b>Rasmus Hojlund (£7m)</b>,given United's fixtures.</p>
<p><strong>Alexander Isak (£8.1m) </strong>has been in sensational form but I worry about his minutes now <strong>Callum Wilson (£7.8m) </strong>is back. If Haaland is out, I could even get both but I'd imagine they split game time rather than both play.</p>
<h3>Points per game game</h3>
<p>I use this to check out specific fixtures. It helps with captaincy and double gameweeks.</p>
