<p>Who will score the most FPL points this season? Who will be the hidden gem? And what about the biggest flop?</p>

<h2>From the expected to the unexpected&#8230;unless you&#8217;ve been paying attention</h2>
<p>John starts off his predictions with a template choice &#8211; <strong>Mohamed Salah (£13.0)</strong> to be the top points scorer in the game this season.</p>
<p>But not all of his picks were expected.</p>
<p>Unless, that is, you&#8217;ve been paying a very close eye to the Hub&#8217;s written content over the past few days.</p>
<p>Hub deputy editor <a href="https://twitter.com/FPL_Guide">George Kenny</a> picked out Everton defender <strong>Nathan Patterson (£4.0m)</strong> in his <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/the-best-everton-fpl-players-2022-23">top-three Everton FPL picks</a> piece last week, noting the Scot could start in Gameweek 1 due to an injury to <strong>Seamus Coleman (£4.5m)</strong>.</p>
<p>And it was Patterson who was predicted by John to be the best enabler of the season &#8211; a tip we&#8217;re sure will by met with the seal of approval by George.</p>
<p>John said: &#8220;He&#8217;s been doing really well in pre-season &#8211; he got two assists versus Blackpool and he&#8217;s only £4.0m.&#8221;</p>
<h2>Wolves assets on the radar</h2>
<p>Wolves&#8217; fixtures are, according to the <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker">Hub&#8217;s fixture ticker</a>, the second-best overall for the first six weeks of the season.</p>
<p>Primarily it has been <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/the-best-wolves-fpl-players">Pedro Neto</a> who has been on the radar of plenty of FPL managers so far when it comes to the best <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/premier-league-fantasy-football-tips-wolves-team-preview-2022-23">Wolves</a> players.</p>
<p>In Neto&#8217;s case, it is his price &#8211; £5.5m alongside a number of defensive-midfielders &#8211; which has caught the attention.</p>

<p>But another Wolves midfielder was John&#8217;s pick as top hidden gem.</p>
<p>This went to <strong>Daniel Podence (£5.5m)</strong>, who was only 0.4% owned at the time of recording.</p>
<p>&#8220;He&#8217;s got two goals and an assist already in pre-season and is the same price as Pedro Neto, who&#8217;s probably outperforming him slightly in pre-season but I do think if people rate Neto and think he&#8217;s going to be a nice pick-up this year, I think the reduced ownership makes Podence a hidden gem,&#8221; John said.</p>
<h2>Biggest flop</h2>
<p>With some big signings by Premier League teams so far, there is plenty of scope for success stories&#8230;and flops.</p>
<p>Will <strong><a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/erling-haaland-fpl-prospects"><strong>Erling Haaland (£11.5m)</strong></a></strong>live up to his superstar status? Will <strong><strong><a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/darwin-nunez-fpl-prospects"><strong>Darwin Nunez (£9.0m)</strong></a></strong></strong>adapt to the Premier League as well as Luis Diaz did when arriving from Portugal last season?</p>
<p>And how will <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/raheem-sterling-fpl-prospects-at-chelsea"><strong>Raheem Sterling (£10.0m)</strong></a> perform at his new club?</p>
<p>Well, according to our Mystic Mac, it his Sterling who could struggle most.</p>

<p>And undoubtedly this is a tricky category to call &#8211; but this was John&#8217;s reasoning: &#8220;I actually really like the move for him but equally we have seen a lot of big players &#8211; typically up the pitch &#8211; at Chelsea and flopping in previous seasons.</p>
<p>&#8220;Remember Lukaku, Ziyech, Timo Werner, a bit longer ago Morata as well. There&#8217;s been loads of signings further up the pitch for Chelsea and I just fear that Raheem Sterling could fall into that flop category as well. I&#8217;m sorry if he&#8217;s in your draft!&#8221;</p>
