<h2>Strategy for Double Gameweek 36 + 37 and Manchester City assets</h2>
<p>12 teams are doubling in Gameweek 36, more than were originally planned. Only five will double in Gameweek 37: much less than we were previously expecting.</p>

<p>Starting off with Gameweek 37 analysis, I think it&#8217;s a favourable set of fixtures regardless of the tactic you choose. There are enough differential opportunities there given the sides that are doubling (e.g. Crystal Palace) for those that are chasing rank to take a punt.</p>
<p>However, given the strength of the single gameweek fixtures (e.g. Liverpool vs Southampton), the players you are carrying over from the previous double can certainly hold their weight.</p>
<p>Your whole strategy will be very team dependent. Some of you will have chips, some won&#8217;t. Those who do will have different chips in their back pockets. As such, my advice would be to target certain teams with the highest ceilings and really make sure those bases are covered.</p>
<p>Given the structure of most people&#8217;s current squads, it&#8217;s likely that Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs assets will be highly owned for anyone reading this. With the exception of Man City, that means most readers will be covered for Double Gameweek 36.</p>
<p>Offloading a premium such as <strong>Cristiano Ronaldo (£12.2m), Bruno Fernandes (£11.6m)</strong> and <strong>Heung-Min Son (£11.0m)</strong> for <strong>Kevin De Bruyne (£11.9m)</strong> will likely pay dividends. He&#8217;s in fantastic form (eight attacking returns in his last six games) and quite simply everything is going through him at the moment.</p>

<p>What I particularly like about De Bruyne is the new role he has played in this season.</p>
<p>In previous seasons, his role as a number eight was a deeper one, and one which held far more defensive responsibility.</p>
<p>However, as the <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker/">fixture schedule</a> has gotten busier, Pep Guardiola seems to have recognised the need to allow him to do what he does best and move other pieces of the jigsaw to cover for the roles he left vacant. <strong>Joao Cancelo (£7.1m)</strong> playing as an inverted full-back takes up central spaces to help start the initial phases of play, allowing De Bruyne to have a higher natural starting position.</p>
<p>De Bruyne is more of a progressive Number 8 now. Simultaneously, <strong>Bernardo Silva (£7.0m)</strong> does a lot more of the defensive work as the other Number 8.</p>
<p>De Bruyne, therefore, plays in a much more central role, higher up the pitch and naturally, his attacking output has increased as a result. His <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/">underlying statistics</a> have also been boosted as a result; he boasts an xGI of 3.9 in his last six premier league games.</p>
<p>Other Manchester City assets I&#8217;d target for the Double Gameweek are <strong>Joao Cancelo (£7.1m), Aymeric Laporte (£6.0m)</strong> and <strong>Phil Foden (£7.8m).</strong> I believe the young Englishman is the most nailed of all the front line, and he&#8217;s priced well too.</p>
<p>A double up is likely to be the most feasible for your team, rather than a triple up,  given the hits that would need to be taken. I&#8217;d argue that Laporte is a better option than Cancelo overall, simply because of the significant amount of money you can save by opting for the former.</p>
<p>As such, for those who possess the Bench Boost and/or the Free Hit chips, I prefer the Bench Boost in Double Gameweek 36 and the <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/what-is-the-free-hit-chip-in-fpl-and-how-can-we-use-it/">Free Hit</a> in Double Gameweek 37 to capitalise on the differential opportunities.</p>

<h2>Double Gameweek 37 Opportunities</h2>
<p>Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Everton all provide relatively high ceiling differential options for the &#8220;run-in&#8221;. I&#8217;m looking to avoid Leicester assets given their continued European involvement. It throws uncertainty around starting positions. I wouldn&#8217;t be bringing Burnley assets in due to their <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker/">fixtures</a> (Villa and Spurs) but wouldn&#8217;t be rushing to sell them either.</p>
<p>Aston Villa face Burnley + Crystal Palace.</p>
<p>Everton face Crystal Palace + Brentford.</p>
<p>Crystal Palace face Aston Villa + Everton.</p>
<p>As you can see there&#8217;s a big overlap in the fixtures, and given the style of the sides involved I wouldn&#8217;t be banking on clean sheets.</p>
<p><strong>Wilfred Zaha (£6.8m),</strong> <strong>Phillipe Coutinho (£7.0m)</strong> and <strong>Richarlison (£7.5m)</strong> are the three options I would be considering as the respective talismans of their teams. I don&#8217;t want to go into a deep dive analysis just yet, I&#8217;d rather have more information after Double Gameweek 36. This is merely to help with your planning.</p>
