<p>As Gameweek 26 approaches for Fantasy Premier League managers, <a href="https://twitter.com/FPL_JianBatra">Jian Batra</a> looks at if we should be buying Arsenal FPL players and, if so, which ones?</p>

<h2>Should we be Buying Arsenal FPL Players?</h2>
<p>Yes.</p>
<p>The only reason a manager might avoid them is if it means fielding a very weakened squad in Blank Gameweek 27.</p>
<p>However, whilst your squad may not be optimal for that gameweek, it&#8217;s unlikely to be that bad.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s imagine the worst case scenario: that you own three Arsenal assets and three Liverpool assets going into Blank Gameweek 27. Unless you also own Chelsea players (which very few active managers do), you can still field 10 players using one free transfer.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m currently looking to sell <strong>Diogo Jota (£8.5m)</strong> in Gameweek 27 for <strong>James Maddison (£6.9m). </strong>This move makes a lot of sense on paper (particularly if <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/diogo-jota-injury-will-he-play-in-fpl-double-gameweek-26/">Jota&#8217;s injury</a> is serious), and allows you to ensure the Arsenal FPL assets provide both short and long term value.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a lot easier for you if you have two Free Hits. But even if you only have one, I&#8217;d go for the Arsenal assets. I don&#8217;t think the Free Hit has much upside in Gameweek 27 and looks much better in Gameweek 30. With no Free Hits, Arsenal provide good cover in Gameweek 30.</p>

<p>I have three Arsenal and Liverpool assets, and only one Free Hit which I&#8217;m using in Gameweek 30. Hopefully that provides some confidence that being without them in Gameweek 27 isn&#8217;t that bad.</p>

<h3><strong>Positives:</strong></h3>

<p>The main reason to invest in Arsenal FPL players is their <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker/">fixtures</a>. They are absolutely excellent and not much more needs to be said about them. Their Double Gameweek 26 games are very promising.</p>
<p>Brentford have looked toothless going forward as of late and I think they will struggle defensively against Arsenal. Arsenal&#8217;s front four have a brilliant fluidity about them, which causes problems for plenty of defensive structures. The 3-5-2 which Brentford adopt off the ball is particularly vulnerable to Arsenal&#8217;s fluidity.</p>
<p>Centre midfielders are easily dragged into crowded areas of space on one side, freeing up the half space on the other.</p>
<p>I expect Arsenal to exploit this &#8220;manoeuvre&#8221; continuously, and wouldn&#8217;t be surprised to see them walk away with a fair few goals.</p>
<p>The Wolves game is more difficult, but again, a manageable fixture for Arteta&#8217;s men. This was proven after their recent 1-0 win against Wolves (A), where they had 10 men for the last twenty minutes. It&#8217;s unlikely Arsenal score more than two goals in that game, but Wolves&#8217; attack isn&#8217;t too penetrating and we could see the goalkeeper/defenders rack up a big haul in that game.</p>

<p>Arsenal assets don&#8217;t have premium price tags in any position. In fact, they are quite cheap &#8211; especially their midfield assets. Therefore, they act as facilitators for the rest of the squad.</p>
<p>They also have the potential for another Double Gameweek in Gameweek 28 or 29, according to <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/ben-crellins-fpl-transfer-planning-sheet/">Ben Crellin&#8217;s Planner.</a></p>
<p>Finally, they are one of only three teams with a guaranteed fixture in Blank Gameweek 30.</p>

<h2>The Best Arsenal FPL Players to buy</h2>
<h3></h3>
<h3>1. Bukayo Saka (£6.4m)</h3>
<p>Saka is the best attacking Arsenal FPL asset. Priced at just £6.4m, he&#8217;s excellent value and is currently Arsenal&#8217;s top scorer. Arsenal will have to rely on his creativity to break down the two defences in Double Gameweek 26.</p>
<p>With Arsenal&#8217;s frontline fluidity he can also find himself occasionally in central spaces which are always the most dangerous.</p>
<p>He&#8217;s a fundamentally sound pick from an <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/">FPL stats</a> perspective as well. He has the highest xGI of any Arsenal player this season (9.9).</p>

<h3>2. Aaron Ramsdale (£5.1m)</h3>
<p>You could very easily argue that he should be the number one pick on this list, as he&#8217;s been exceptional value this season.</p>
<p>He&#8217;s Arsenal&#8217;s highest scoring FPL asset this season and has returned five times in his last seven games.</p>
<p>He has the capacity to produce huge hauls given Arsenal face a fair few shots from distance, due to their defensive system.</p>
<p>Finally, at £5.1m, he&#8217;s a great price point.</p>
<h3></h3>
<h3>3. Kieran Tierney (£5.1m)</h3>
<p>Like I stated below, he could easily be replaced by Gabriel. He&#8217;s not shy getting forward and most definitely has attacking returns within his range.</p>
<p>He&#8217;s not too pricey either.</p>
<p>Honestly, there&#8217;s not too much to say on him. He&#8217;s nailed when fit, has a high ceiling and is relatively cheap with a great run of fixtures ahead.</p>
<p>No need to overcomplicate it.</p>

<p><strong>Ben White (£4.5m)</strong> as a budget option and <strong>Gabriel (£5.3m)</strong> as an alternative to Tierney are both very good options. <strong>Alexandre Lacazette (£8.3m)</strong> would be a big differential. He&#8217;s a big risk due to his poor goal scoring form but his ceiling is relatively high, so depending on your squad he could be worth a punt.</p>
