<h2>BigManBakar’s FPL Wildcard tips</h2>
<p>According to FPL rules, the first Wildcard is available until Sunday, December 29, 18:30 UK time. This means it can be used any time before Gameweek 20.</p>
<p>Traditionally, there have been two main perspectives on its usage.</p>
<p>Some managers feel a Wildcard should be deployed during tough times when their team needs an overhaul, while others prefer to plan and use it strategically at a specific time.</p>
<p>But with the <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-changes-announced-24-25">new rule this season</a> enabling FPL managers to save up to five transfers, the threshold for playing the first Wildcard has become much lower.</p>
<p>When you play the Wildcard, your saved transfers won't reset to zero.</p>
<p>You can accumulate five free transfers, play any chip, and then still have five free transfers available in the next gameweek.</p>
<p>This capability to roll multiple transfers has diminished the Wildcard's value, as FPL managers can build mini Wildcards by saving transfers.</p>
