<h2>How long is Ronaldo out for? Should he be sold? | Best Ronaldo FPL Replacements</h2>
<p>Man United&#8217;s fixture against Brentford in Gameweek 17 has been called off due to a Covid outbreak in the Man United camp. While we do not know the extent of the outbreak, it is rumored that Man United are due to train tomorrow if there are no other positive tests:</p>

<p>If this is true, then it is likely that the Man United v Brighton fixture in Gameweek 18 goes ahead. However, it is worth noting that there is no guarantee that all 10 of the fixtures at in Gameweek 18 go ahead either.</p>
<p>Keeping Ronaldo significantly weakens the bench and with him not being a captaincy option due to Salah&#8217;s invincible status, it&#8217;s hard to justify the premium outlay at a time when eight playable attackers are needed.</p>
<p><a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/bigmanbakar/74">I know the upcoming fixtures for Man United are great,</a> but with João Cancelo already out and Tino Livramento a huge doubt this week benches are already stretched. I think it is better to sell him and bolster the squad rather than have £20m of assets on your bench in this Gameweek.</p>
<p>I now look at three of his best possible replacements. I&#8217;ve looked at replacements who are affordable and who would allow you to improve your squad depth at the same time ensuring that they have a good set of fixtures to justify buying them:</p>

<h2>Michail Antonio (£7.9m) | B<strong>est </strong>Ronaldo FPL <strong>Replacements</strong></h2>
<p>Truth be told, <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/bigmanbakar/77"><strong>Antonio&#8217;s numbers in recent times have been poor</strong></a>. He has failed to register a big chance in the previous seven gameweeks. What’s been happening in recent weeks is that <strong>Jarrod Bowen</strong> has been making the runs in behind while Antonio has been dropping deep against the tougher opposition.</p>
<p>However, I expect Antonio to be hogging more of the shots in the weeks to come given the fact that the fixtures get easier. It&#8217;s worth noting that despite the slump in his form, he still stands best among forwards for expected goal involvement (xGi) this season so we know about his potential.</p>
<p><a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/bigmanbakar/74">With the favourable fixtures to come from Gameweek 18 onwards,</a> Antonio could be a great set and forget option should you decide to bring him in now. It&#8217;s only a matter of time before he fires.</p>
<p>With the striker pool to pick from extremely thin at the moment, I would rate Antonio as my number one Ronaldo replacement had I not owned him simply because he&#8217;s more proven than the rest of the alternatives and is playing for a better team.</p>
<h2></h2>
<h2>Ollie Watkins (£7.6m) &#8211; B<strong>est </strong>Toney <strong>Replacements<br />
</strong></h2>
<p>Ollie Watkins is showing signs of resurgence. He has already scored twice in five games for new Villa boss Steven Gerrard and has an obliging fixture schedule on his hands. He could also be on penalties given that Danny Ings has just come back from injury while Anwar El Ghazi seems to be out of favour.</p>
<p>He seems to have cemented himself as the first choice striker at the moment, as Gerrard continues to employ his favourite 4-3-3 formation.</p>
<p>The caveat to mention here though is that Watkins has been restricted to just two big chances and five shots in the box in the five games he has played under Gerrard. However, it’s worth noting that Villa have so far faced some of the better defences in the league in Brighton, Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Man City under Gerrard so it’s hard to read too much into that.</p>
<p>He&#8217;s only owned by 8.1% of fantasy managers as well, so in case he fires his owners are likely to benefit highly from his differential stat</p>

<h2>Emmanuel Dennis (£5.9m) | B<strong>est </strong>Ronaldo <strong>Replacements</strong></h2>
<p>I was a huge advocate of picking Josh King over Emmanuel Dennis last week and was frankly left befuddled by Claudio Ranieri’s decision to employ King on the left wing and Dennis centrally last Gameweek – as it has been a rare occurrence this season.</p>
<p>Dennis’ owners richly deserved their points as he played in a position far advanced than King – as can be seen in their statistics where King recorded just the one penalty area touch as compared to six for Dennis against Brentford.</p>
<p>I was reading the Watford forums after the game and their fans were as perplexed as I was as most of them believe that King is much better as the central striker due to his hold up play. Whether this decision to play Dennis centrally was a one-off tactical decision remains to be seen but it does not bode well for King if this is to continue.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s tough to say who is the better pick at the moment but I would probably pick Dennis given his form and the fact that Ranieri might choose to deploy him centrally after his goal again.</p>
