<p>Congratulations, you’ve made it to the end of the longest season in recent memory! At this stage, things should be relatively clear with regards to your FPL prospects. You’re either consolidating your position or chasing and that will dictate your approach for this week.</p>
<p>Although this is a captaincy article, I will be approaching it from two angles, as the key decisions this week are generally who to captain and which player to punt on.</p>
<p>By identifying the best potential captaincy candidates, I will also be highlighting players with high upside that should be transfer considerations.</p>
<p>Gameweek 38 is notoriously high scoring (especially for the home sides) and my focus will be on attackers. Despite my home preference,  some of the best options are away.</p>
<p>The final deadline is at 15:00 BST on Sunday and it’s likely we will get some leaks during the lead up, which could impact on your plans. I dislike this aspect of the game but if you can be around, I would suggest holding your transfers as late as possible.</p>

<p><strong>Marcus Rashford (£7.2m)</strong> blanked the reverse fixture but in his only home start against Fulham, he racked up a goal and two assists.</p>
<p><strong>Mohamed Salah (£13.1m) </strong>has an amazing record against Southampton, however he did blank the reverse fixture and his last two away games against them.</p>
<p><strong>Kane - </strong>scored (and picked up a fantasy assist that wasn't captured in the stats) in the reverse fixture and did the same away against Leeds last season.</p>
<p><strong>Son Heung-min (£11.5m) </strong>scored away to Leeds last season and has only blanked against them in one game (at home).</p>
<p><strong>Martin Odegaard (£6.8m)</strong> braced in the reverse fixture.</p>
<p><strong>Bruno Fernandes (£9.5m)</strong> blanked the last two games against Fulham.</p>
<p><strong>Erling Haaland (£12.4m) </strong>blanked the reverse fixture against Brentford at home after a full 90 minutes.</p>

<p style="text-align: left;">These stats are taken from the Fantasy Football Hub <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta">Opta stats tool</a>.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">With so many doubles , it means the stats will be thrown off when we use 'totals'. Therefore, I've switched to ‘per appearance’ instead, and extended the range to the last six gameweeks.</p>
