<h2><strong>Best FPL captain for Gameweek 8: The candidates</strong></h2>
<p>It was a surprise blank from <strong>Erling Haaland (£14.1m)</strong> last week with some other big hitters doing well.</p>
<p>This week he has arguably the toughest away fixture in the league. Some other options have fixtures that look to be far kinder. Is this a good week to look elsewhere? We will find out below.</p>
<p>I’ve provided a breakdown of the best options. The main candidates for this week I'm looking at are:</p>

<li><strong>Mohammed Salah (£12.6m) </strong>v Brighton (A)</li>

<li><strong>Raheem Sterling (£7.1m)</strong> v Burnley (A)</li>
</ul>
<p>There are solid alternatives to the above from the same team, however I have selected these specific options as I believe they have the most upside.</p>

<p><strong>Haaland - </strong>scored away last season. His big haul was at home.</p>
<p><strong>Salah -</strong> has only blanked once in an away game against Brighton.</p>
<p><strong>Sterling</strong> – hasn’t played against Burnley for Chelsea.</p>
<p><strong>Son</strong> and <strong>Maddison</strong> haven’t played against Luton before.</p>
