<p>Unless you're planning on using the Assistant Manager chip on Arne Slot in the near future, you may well be sitting with a vacant Liverpool slot ahead of their enticing run.</p>
<p><strong>Trent Alexander-Arnold</strong> has made himself a standout pick in defence with two double-digit hauls in his last four ahead of the upcoming double.</p>
<p><strong>Mohamed Salah</strong> can't stop hauling and recently grabbed his 50th European goal for Liverpool - and you'd be hard pressed to leave him out of your FPL team heading into Double Gameweek 24.</p>
<p>If Salah and Alexander-Arnold are the first and second picks, who is the best third pick to maximise your advantage across Liverpool's strong fixtures? These are our top five.</p>
<h3><strong>5. Alisson (£5.5m) </strong></h3>
<p>Ahead of a promising double gameweek, picking up a premium goalkeeper like Alisson with two decent away fixtures could be a shrewd move for FPL managers looking to make a transfer between the sticks.</p>
<p>Bournemouth are flying and Everton are usually a stern test for the Reds - especially under new management - but these fixtures provide a decent chance for Alisson to pick up a few saves and perhaps bonus points if Liverpool manage to bank the clean sheet.</p>
<p>This was exactly what happened when Arne Slot's side won away to Brentford last gameweek, where the Brazilian returned nine points in a 2-0 away victory.</p>

<p>The FPL entry point is as good as it gets, as Liverpool host Ipswich and Wolves either side of their double, so for those in immediate need of a goalkeeper this feels like a comfortable move.</p>
<p>While there will be challenges in the away games, it would be no huge shock if Liverpool kept three or even four clean sheets across the next three gameweeks.</p>
<p>Slot's side currently lead the league for this statistic alongside Nottingham Forest, with both sides managing nine shutouts so far this season.</p>

<h3><strong>4. </strong><strong>Ibrahima Konate (£5.1m) </strong></h3>
<p>There remain questions around the fitness of Konate, with the central defender apparently playing through the pain due to persistent injury issues in recent weeks.</p>
<p>Despite this, Konate remains a solid FPL option for the upcoming run. The Frenchman appears to be first choice in defence right now, and he's available for a reasonably low price of £5.1m.</p>
<p>Konate would sit ahead of <strong>Virgil van Dijk</strong> if working on the basis of value, with their per 90 attacking stats pretty much even over the season.</p>

<p>The risk is one of rotation, and if fitness issues persist there is every chance of Konate sitting out the odd game against weaker opposition, with <strong>Jarell Quansah</strong> waiting in the wings.</p>
<p><strong>Joe Gomez</strong> is expected back in a few weeks to provide further competition in the centre of defence, but Konate will expect to remain first choice, and as such he should be a good FPL pick for as long as he is fit.</p>
<p>For those shopping in this price range and eyeing up a doubler, you could do far worse than Konate at this price point.</p>

<h3><strong>3. Virgil van Dijk (£6.4m) </strong></h3>
<p>There's a bigger fee to be paid if you want Liverpool's captain in your FPL backline but we know the Dutchman is only a glancing header away from a 15-pointer as Slot's side head into an enticing set of fixtures.</p>
<p>Security of starts is where van Dijk can really prove his worth, although it's certainly a big premium to pay for that privilege.</p>
<p>The hefty outlay gets you a guaranteed starter with certified goal threat, in statistically the league's best defence - according to expected goals conceded (xGC).</p>

<p>Centre-back goals can be sporadic and unpredictable, but clean sheets have been anything but that for Slot's side so far.</p>
<p>Those who gamble on van Dijk will hope that the stars align, given both the quality and volume of fixtures - which could provide the Dutchman with the ingredients for an FPL haul.</p>
<p>While the stats are close between van Dijk and Konate, the long-term evidence suggests that van Dijk is a stronger FPL asset overall, with greater bonus potential and more consistent threat at set-pieces.</p>
<p>The 33-year-old will need to improve upon his recent rate of attacking returns to justify his price tag, but in terms of making the most of the next four fixtures, there are few safer bets to make than the Liverpool skipper.</p>
