But while Mbeumo and Fernandes are the focus of the debate, <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Hub AI</a> believes the more budget Amad should be a consideration too.

<h2>Amad&#8217;s FPL stats</h2>
The data suggests Mbeumo and Fernandes are ahead of the rest of the United squad, hence the debate among the FPL community between the two.
They lead the way for both xG and expected goal involvements (xGI), with various routes to points.
But Amad is third best for these metrics and offers a way into the United attack for more than £2.0m less.
He has scored one goal from an xG of 2.0 and assisted three.
He has created three big chances for his teammates, one behind Mbeumo and Fernandes, while his expected points of 37.16 is bang on his actual return of 37.

His xGI per 90 minutes is 0.4, putting him alongside Eberechi Eze, Yankubah Minteh, Rice and 0.1 short of Ismaila Sarr.
The attacking wing-back&#8217;s longer-term data also indicates he can tick along nicely for attacking returns, having scored eight and assisted eight last season.
Playing largely as a wing-back has not affected him too much either, ranking second for touches in the box (34) behind Mbeumo (53).

<h2>United&#8217;s attack: Is there a case to double up?</h2>
Four United midfielders make up the top 10 predicted point-scoring midfielders over the next five gameweeks.
Fernandes and Mbeumo make the top five, with Amad sixth and Matheus Cunha eighth.
The dominance of Amorim&#8217;s attackers in this top 10 suggests the double up is at least worth considering, particularly those who remain unconvinced by Szoboszlai or Liverpool midfielders.
Cunha, who only has a single goal this season, at least comes with the advantage of not going to AFCON soon &#8211; and his minutes should be assured while Amad and Mbeumo are away.
But it&#8217;s not too late to bring either of the AFCON-bound picks in, and either or both could work well given there&#8217;s the safety net of everyone getting <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/whats-new-in-fpl-2025-26-more-transfers-new-assist-rules">topped up to five free transfers</a> in Gameweek 16.
