            <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Before we venture into the depths of my Gameweek 1 FPL team reveal, I wanted to say a <em>massive</em> thank you to all our members. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It's been an incredibly busy pre-season for us, and it's great to see so many (new and old) faces enjoying the upgraded and new features. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The best part is that your membership is set to go to a whole new level over the coming weeks and months - I can’t wait for everyone to see what we have in store. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Right, back to that FPL team for Gameweek 1…</span></p>

<h3><b>Goalkeepers</b></h3>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Between the sticks, I’ve opted for </span><b>Aaron Ramsdale (£5.0m)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> I've been tempted by <strong>Robert Sanchez (£4.5m)</strong> and the option of rotating him with <strong>Danny </strong></span><strong>Ward</strong><span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong> (£4.0m)</strong>. I still fancy this route, but, with Arsenal <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker">ranking third for defensive fixtures</a> over the first five Gameweeks, I just feel that Ramsdale is more likely to get clean sheets. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">That, coupled with a good history of save points, makes me inclined to spend an extra £0.5m to have the Arsenal man in my team for Gameweek 1. </span></p>

<h3><b>Defence</b></h3>
<p><b>Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.5m) </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">was the first name in my team. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">There's not much to say here, other than he’s a fantasy football beast, with multiple points scoring routes, who’s been massively underpriced at £7.5m. I think I'd still have gone with him at £9m.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I’ve opted for the Liverpool defensive double-up with </span><b>Andrew Robertson (£7.0m)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">. I say defensive, but these two could easily be classed as midfielders they are so far up the pitch. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Scotsman has been in my draft since the game launched, and I haven’t yet found a reason to remove him. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If you take a look at the numbers my next pick<strong> João</strong> </span><b>Cancelo (£7.0m)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> produced last year, he’s the only one for me that comes close to Trent for the criminally underpriced award.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The fourth pick has been a last minute inclusion, as I was set on <strong>Ivan Perisic (£5.5m)</strong>, but worries over his game time have made me plump for </span><b>Reece James (£6.0m).</b></p>
<p><b> </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">I’m far from convinced by Chelsea’s pre-season form, especially defensively, but one of the things I’ve learned from previous seasons is that pre-season form can often be a red herring. </span></p>
<p><b>Neco Williams (£4.0m)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> completes the backline. The best £4.0m option for me.</span></p>
