<h2><strong>Best FPL Forwards for Gameweek 2</strong></h2>
<h3><strong>Ollie Watkins (£8.0m) – Aston Villa</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Everton (H)</strong></p>
<p>Ollie Watkins grabbed an assist last week against Newcastle United in a tough away game. Last season, he scored 15 goals and created eight assists, with an <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/a-simple-guide-to-opta-stats-for-fpl/">Expected Goals (xG)</a> of 18.52 (fourth among forwards) and an Expected Assists (xA) of 5.42.</p>
<p>Watkins and Aston Villa face much easier opposition this week, as they host Everton. The Toffees conceded 57 goals (thirteenth) with an xGC of 63.9 (sixteenth) last campaign.</p>
<p>Villa managed an xG of 1.66 with 16 shots at goal, despite falling to a 5-1 defeat in Gameweek 1; and Newcastle are one of the best defences in the league. Although the scoreline isn’t promising, they were still creating plenty of chances.</p>
<p>Watkins can both score and assist, and he has been performing well under new manager Unai Emery. Since Emery has been in charge, only<strong> Erling Haaland (£14.0m)</strong> has registered a better xG than the Villa forward.</p>
<p>The Villains have one of the best fixtures of the week in Gameweek 2, and Watkins will without a doubt be one of the best forward options.</p>
<p>He will be nailed to start, and should be on penalties also. Last season he had a 47% Goal Involvement rate, which was by far the highest among his teammates, and fourth-best overall in the league.</p>
<p>Watkins is the second highest predicted scoring forward (5.5 points) for Gameweek 2 according to our <strong><a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Hub</a> <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">AI Tool.</a></strong></p>

<h3><strong>Nicolas Jackson (£7.0m) – Chelsea</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: West Ham United (a)</strong></p>
<p>Nicolas Jackson didn’t get on the scoresheet last week, but still really impressed. He had four shots (two on target) with an xG of 1.1, and caused the Liverpool backline a lot of problems with his pace.</p>
<p>He scored two goals and registered three assists in Chelsea’s five pre-season games, and he was unfortunate to come away with nothing in Gameweek 1.</p>
<p>Chelsea don’t have the easiest fixture against West Ham on Sunday, but they will still be strong favourites.</p>
<p>Looking at the quality of players and calibre of manager in Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea should do well here, especially judging by their performance against Liverpool.</p>
<p>Jackson is at a healthy 35% to score at anytime, and is also the third highest predicted scoring forward (5.0 points) according to our <strong><a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Hub AI Tool.</a></strong></p>
<p>The Hammers were in the bottom eight for goals conceded last season, and haven't really reinforced at the back this year either.</p>
<p>I can see the Senegalese having some success again in Gameweek 2.</p>

<h3><strong>Joao Pedro (£5.5m) – Brighton </strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Wolves (a)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Joao Pedro </strong>scored on his Premier League debut for Brighton, and also cemented his status as the first-choice penalty taker.</p>
<p>At only £5.5m he looks fantastic value. He managed four shots in the box with an xG of 1.12, and also created one chance.</p>
<p>He was a popular option in Gameweek 1 due to his low price, playing in such an attacking team, and the possibility of penalties.</p>
<p>He did not disappoint and neither did Brighton.</p>
<p>Their 4-1 win at Luton wasn’t surprising, and they have another decent fixture against Wolves in Gameweek 2.</p>
<p>Wolves have always been a solid defensive side, but they will have their work cut out against Roberto De Zerbi’s team.</p>
<p>The Seagulls are the fourth favourites to score 2.5+ goals (29%) and Pedro is sure to get plenty of chances in this match. He is a versatile player and will get plenty of minutes, and has penalties in his locker too.</p>
<p>Pedro is rated at 33% to score at anytime in Gameweek 2.</p>

<h3><strong>Erling Haaland (£14.0m) – Manchester City</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Newcastle United (H)</strong></p>
<p>Erling Haaland started this season identically to last, with a brace in his opening fixture. He has essentially made FPL a ten-man game with his consistency.</p>
<p>He scored the most goals with the highest xG last season, and will likely do the same again this campaign.</p>
<p>Manchester City scored the most goals (94) last season, and also recorded the highest xG (83.69). This week they come up against Newcastle United, who conceded the joint least goals (33) with the second best xGC (41.9).</p>
<p>Despite the tough fixture, City are still going to be strong favourites, and Haaland is the most likely to score.</p>
<p>Pep Guardiola’s men are the second favourites to score 2.5+ goals (33%) and Haaland is nailed to start, as well as being on penalties. The Norwegian is also the favourite to score at anytime at 52%.</p>
<p>Haaland plays for one of the best teams in the world, and is arguably the best finisher in world football too, so the opposition matters much less when it comes to him.</p>
<p>He is once again the highest predicted scoring player (8.3 points) overall for Gameweek 2 according to our <strong><a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Hub AI Tool.</a></strong></p>

<h3><strong>Yoane Wissa (£6.0m) – Brentford</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Fulham (a)</strong></p>
<p>Yoane Wissa will benefit in terms of playing time in the absence of <strong>Ivan Toney (£8.0m)</strong>.</p>
<p>Wissa scored in the opening match against Spurs, and also grabbed three bonus points.</p>
<p>He scored seven goals and four assists in 16 starts last season, which is pretty impressive, so with more game time he is a great option, especially at this price.</p>
<p>Wissa will play either as a lone forward or up top in a front two with <strong>Bryan Mbeumo (£6.5m)</strong> as he did against Spurs at the weekend.</p>
<p>Brentford have a good fixture against Fulham, who had the worst xGC (72.3) last season, and Thomas Frank’s men look good in the final third. They scored the seventh most goals (58) last season with the eight-best xG (59.38).</p>
<p>The Bees managed 11 shots with an xG of 2.22 against Spurs last week, so I am confident he will get plenty of chances here against the Cottagers.</p>
<p>Wissa should get plenty of minutes this season for Brentford, and at his price is a fine option. He is the fourth highest predicted scoring forward (4.0 points) for Gameweek 2 according to our <strong><a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Hub AI Tool.</a></strong></p>
