<h2>How essential is Watkins this week?</h2>
<p>Watkins is a very tempting pick in FPL this week as we reach a perfect storm, making him an obvious transfer target.</p>
<p>Aston Villa are sixth in the Premier League table, with only goal difference holding them back from fifth and a Champions League spot.</p>
<p>A win will be key for them in their final home game of the season against Spurs on Friday evening - note the earlier deadline this week.</p>
<p>Watkins can be brought in with confidence, given that he is effectively guaranteed minutes as <strong>Marcus Rashford</strong> is out through injury.</p>
<p>Villa are on a great run of form, winning seven of their last eight league games. Watkins has four goals and an assist in this time.</p>
<p>That takes the striker to 23 goal involvements for the campaign - 16 goals and seven assists.</p>

<p>Opponents Spurs have just one win and a draw from their last eight league games, with their attention firmly on the Europa League final on Wednesday evening.</p>
<p>Success in this competition is essential to salvage a poor season - where they sit 17th in the Premier League table - and secure Champions League football for 2025/26.</p>
<p>With this in mind, we expect Spurs to rotate in this fixture and so Villa should have a key advantage.</p>
<p>Spurs are without a clean sheet in their last 11 games.</p>

<h2>How much will Palace and City rotate?</h2>
<p>It's impossible to call exactly how much rotation we will see from Crystal Palace and Manchester City on Tuesday evening in the Premier League, having contested the FA Cup on Saturday.</p>
<p>We must be mindful that the Cup final could go to extra time and penalties, which could cause more fatigue, but this isn't information we will know ahead of the deadline.</p>
<p>It's also plausible that players could pick up injuries or suspensions in this fixture, which does provide significant uncertainty.</p>
