It was a great game at Anfield over the weekend between Liverpool and Arsenal.
Arsenal looked like they were going to win comfortably initially, but Liverpool could have scored several goals at the end. This result makes Manchester City slight favourites to win the title.
Meanwhile the dog-fight at the bottom continues, but a big win for Palace is a big step closer to survival.
The other huge game was Leicester v Bournemouth. I can’t believe that Leicester were so bad at Palace, and followed that up with a defeat at the weekend. I now feel they are in real danger of going down.
I think given fixtures, three of Southampton, Nottingham Forest, Leicester and Everton will go down. I hope the dog-fight continues, which will make Leicester v Everton a massive game for the Monday Night Football on May 1st.

Sky team of the week
The top scorer in Sky for the last game week was 133 points (which may have been aided with a few transfers). My team of the week scores 156 and is:

Bonus points
The bonus points achieved by each team this week is:

Manchester City top the bonus awards with seven, following a comfortable win at Southampton. Fulham were second with six, despite losing a goal to nil v west Ham.
Forest are struggling in the league and drew blank in bonus over the weekend, closely followed by Spurs and Southampton who had one bonus each.
The bonus for the season is:

City continue to have a clear lead. There is now a three way battle for second between Liverpool, Chelsea and Brighton.
There is then a gap to Spurs, United, and Arsenal and then a steady decline thereafter.
Brentford and Forest seem to be fighting it out for the wooden spoon.
The distribution of bonus awards is:

31% of awards come from passing, 31% tackling, 23% shooting and 16% from saves.
The above statistics are based on the number of bonuses a team achieves; the next chart is about the number of bonuses a team concedes.

Brighton have been the surprise performers this season, and this has been reflected in them being the second hardest team to score bonus points (Manchester City are the hardest).
West Ham and Bournemouth have given up the most passing awards.

Rodri (Manchester City midfielder £9.1m) has a clear lead at the top. Several of the top ten are from players outside the big six (David Raya, Joao Palhinha, Dunk, Leno, Pickford, and Caicedo) three of which are goalkeepers.
A metric to find the best valued players is the number of points scored divided by cost and number of games played.
The tables below give the top 10 for each position (having made at least ten appearances). Some players may be injured, but these players could be useful when looking for enablers or requiring some short-term changes.

The table below summarises the average bonus points scored and conceded per team per game.

If teams stick to their average, a basic prediction of points by bonus this week would be:

The table gives the expected points each team will score by bonus type. The percentage is how this compares to the team’s average.
For example, Chelsea score 1.4 passing points whereas they have average 5.3, therefore 1.4 is 74% lower than the Chelsea’s average.
For each set of projected points and percentages, I have highlighted the highest number green, the second highest blue and the third highest light red.
If you are unsure between two captains, then this should be helpful in deciding who is more likely to achieve bonus and edge the captaincy choice.
