Tottenham Hotspur finished 8th in the Premier League in 2022/23, with Antonio Conte departing midway through the season, having now been replaced by Ange Postecoglou &#8211; here we take a look at Spurs&#8217; FPL and wider fantasy football prospects for the coming season.

Without a shadow of a doubt, top scorer Harry Kane was Spurs&#8217; player of the season in 2022/23.
The England striker scored an impressive 30 Premier League goals last season, second only to Erling Haaland on 36.

2022/23 was an underwhelming season for Son Heung-min on the other hand, who roughly halved his attacking returns from the season before (10 goals, 6 assists in 2022/23,  23 goals, 10 assists in 2021/22).
It was the South Korean&#8217;s worst goalscoring campaign in seven seasons, and has seen him receive a significant price downgrade in Fantasy Premier League this season too.

Their next highest scorer would&#8217;ve been James Maddison had he already made his move to Spurs, with no one else coming close to Kane or Son &#8211; although Ivan Perisic did contribute his fair share of assists.
It was otherwise a seriously underwhelming season for Antonio Conte&#8217;s side, and Spurs fans will be glad to see new faces at the club, both in terms of the managerial staff, and the exciting new players they have signed.

<h3>2022/23 season stats</h3>
Despite an eighth-placed league finish, Spurs did manage to score the fifth most goals in the league, although this was largely due to the relentless scoring form of Harry Kane.
Shockingly, they conceded 63 goals, which ranked them at 15th in the league, with Conte&#8217;s side keeping just 10 clean sheets all season.
However, they were ranked eighth for <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/htw-fpl-part4/">Expected Goals Conceded (xGC)</a>, so their defence perhaps wasn&#8217;t quite as bad as the initial numbers suggest.

It looks like goalkeeper Hugo Lloris could be on his way out of the club, with the Frenchman linked to the likes of PSG and Fiorentina.
This move could open the door for Tottenham&#8217;s new goalkeeper signing, Guglielmo Vicario, to become first choice.
From what we have seen of Postecoglou&#8217;s Spurs so far, we can expect to see a very offensive 4-3-3, which could almost be described as a 2-3-5 when Spurs are on the attack. Clean sheets may not be the first order of business for Spurs this season.
It remians to be seen who will partner World Cup winner Cristian Romero at centre-back, with Eric Dier perhaps the most likely &#8211; but the former England man&#8217;s lack of pace could be exposed in this system.
For that reason, Spurs have been linked with speedy centre-backs Micky Van de Ven of Wolfsburg and Edmond Tapsoba of Bayer Leverkusen.
Other options are Japhet Tanganga and Davinson Sanchez, who have both been linked with moves away from North London.
Pedro Porro should provide the attacking outlet from right wing-back, with new signing Destiny Udogie offering similar on the left &#8211; the young Italian has already scored for Spurs in <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-pre-season-results-guide/">pre-season</a>.

Yves Bissouma looks like a lock-in in a deeper midfield role, as does another new signing in James Maddison, who will play much further forward.
The third spot in midfield is arguably up for grabs, with Rodrigo Bentancur out injured, but Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg looks the most likely to start the season as it stands.
There is little debate around the frontline, with Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, and Dejan Kulusevski all clear first choices.
If Kane leaves Tottenham during the Summer transfer window, we could see Richarlison or Manor Solomon come into the team, with one of Son or Richarlison then shifting to play as the centre-forward.

<h2>Spurs stats for other Fantasy Formats</h2>
Sky Sports Fantasy Football awards bonus points for passing, tackles, shots and saves. Players are awarded two or three extra points for 60/70 passes, four/five tackles, two/three shots on target and three/five saves.
In Sky, centre-backs and defensive midfielders are the ones who tend to pick up passing bonus most often. Tackles tend to come from full-backs and defensive midfielders.
Tackles are also a factor in Telegraph Fantasy Football for midfielders, who are awarded a point for every two tackles. Goalkeepers get one extra point for every save made.
And in Dream Team, the 2023/24 game has had a revamp. There’s no longer Star Man and WhoScored ratings, while a new bonus system is in play – see our guide <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/how-to-play-dream-team-fantasy-football-2">here</a> for full details.
