What should we expect from Antonio Conte at Spurs and how will this impact their FPL assets?

<h2>Why Antonio Conte&#8217;s Track Record is a Cause for Optimism</h2>
Antonio Conte joins Tottenham as one of the most highly regarded managers in world football right now.
The Italian had an impressive stint in his native country, where he guided Inter Milan to their first Serie A title since 2009/10.
It didn&#8217;t take long for him to make an impact there. He took Inter to their best placed finish since 2010/11 in his first season which mirrors his record at Chelsea.
Conte transformed the London club from mid-table to Premier League champions in only one season.
In the following campaign, he added to his list of major honours by lifting the FA Cup with the Blues. It isn&#8217;t hard to see why Spurs fans are getting excited.
Meanwhile, Conte made an instant impact at Inter by winning all six of his opening league fixtures. The Italian giants also kept four clean sheets in the process.
At Chelsea, he won the opening three league games. Despite those runs taking place at the start of the season, I expect a similar &#8216;bounce&#8217; to occur at Spurs.
This is especially the case with the nice run of fixtures coming up: Everton, Leeds, Burnley, Brentford, Norwich.
I recommend loading up on Spurs assets while they&#8217;re such differentials.

<h2>Initial expectations &#8211; What Should we Expect from Antonio Conte at Spurs?</h2>
We saw Spurs undergo a similar mid-season bounce under Jose Mourinho. The Lilywhites won four of the opening five league games, scoring 16 in the process.
Those run of fixtures saw the likes of Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Dele Alli show some of their best form. The trio scored 12 and assisted eight between them.
Given the similar situation this time round, and the bulk of the squad remaining the same, this furthers my argument of an upcoming run of good <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-gameweek-11-fixtures-vs-form-fpl-tips/">form</a>.

One of Conte&#8217;s main tasks will be to rejuvenate Kane. The England captain only has one league goal to his name in this campaign. Ultimately, he has looked a shadow of the player he was last season.
Early signs look promising. Reliable sources close to the club suggest Kane is excited about working with Conte and is impressed with the ambition of the appointment.
No such news was reported when Nuno was appointed, and I think we&#8217;ll begin to the see the real Kane in the coming weeks.
Kane will also fit straight into Conte&#8217;s 3-5-2 system, where we&#8217;ve seen the likes of Diego Costa and Romelu Lukaku flourish.
Defensively, Conte has a lot of work to do. However, summer signing Cristian Romero has started to show his value and Spurs&#8217; defensive frailties could be fixed in a matter of weeks.
More quality is needed in that position though, and it will be the primary area to target in the January transfer window.
This appointment is certainly good news for Spurs fans. Unsurprisingly, reports suggest the mood at Hotspur Way has boosted dramatically since the managerial signing.
A top four race looks to be on the cards.

<h2>Formation &#8211; What Should we Expect from Antonio Conte at Spurs?</h2>
Conte&#8217;s preferred system is a 3-5-2. This consists of wing backs pushing extremely high up and one of the midfielders shielding the defence and acting as the deepest playmaker.
The front two of Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son will act similarly to Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.
Kane will often drop in to win the ball, while Son presses onto the last man. This should see the duo recreate a similar working relationship to the one Mourinho developed.
Cristian Romero is far more suited to a back three system. It was in that formation that he shone for Atalanta last season, winning the &#8216;Serie A best defender&#8217; award.
He will undoubtedly start for Conte, and I expect him to become a key player.
Given the Argentine&#8217;s tendency to step out of the backline and press aggressively as almost a second defensive midfielder, the added protection of a third centre back will suit the side massively.
We&#8217;ve seen Spurs concede a lot of goals from situations like this so far this season. Eric Dier is unable to provide enough cover in such situations.
This change of shape should boost Spurs&#8217; defence considerably. However, Romero won&#8217;t provide the Fantasy credentials like the wing-back pairing.

<h2>The Importance of Wing-Backs &#8211; What Should we Expect from Antonio Conte at Spurs?</h2>
Wing-backs Emerson Royal and Sergio Reguilon will flourish in Conte&#8217;s system and their attacking mindset may benefit FPL managers.
Given Conte reportedly wanted to sign Emerson as a replacement for Achraf Hakimi at Inter, he should slot straight into the side.
This is in spite of competition from Matt Doherty and Lucas Moura (who potentially could be transformed into a wing back).
Emerson proved his attacking capabilities at Real Betis, notching four goals and ten assists in the previous two La Liga campaigns.
Meanwhile, Reguilon has flourished when playing as a wing-back. The Spaniard has scored six and assisted three in 31 appearances in that position.
Whilst at Inter, Conte&#8217;s wing-backs directly contributed to 46% of their league goals. Last season, right wing-back Hakimi contributed with seven goals and ten assists in the league alone.
On the other hand, first choice left wing-back Ivan Perisic scored three and made five. Back ups Ashley Young and Matteo Darmian scored four and assisted eight between them.
I can&#8217;t see any way that Reguilon and Emerson won&#8217;t become two of the best Fantasy defenders from an attacking perspective.

<h2>Predicted Line Up &#8211; What Should we Expect from Antonio Conte at Spurs?</h2>
I&#8217;d expect Tanguy Ndombele and Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg to make up the midfield. Yet the final spot will be fought most prominently by Oliver Skipp and Giovani Lo Celso.
The third midfielder will depend on which role Conte believes Hojbjerg suits best. The Denmark international is capable of playing as both the deep-lying playmaker and box-to-box considerably well.
Spurs fans are still waiting for Lo Celso to show the quality of performances he does for his country, and Conte could be the one to make it happen.
I still can&#8217;t see any of these midfielders being Fantasy options, although Lo Celso and Ndombele might be ones to watch out for in the long run.
The front two will pick itself, with Son and Kane hoping to recreate their unstoppable partnership from last season.

Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku racked up 41 league goals and 17 assists between them last season.
Son and Kane perform best when they are positioned as close together as possible. It&#8217;s likely their form will pick up in the near future.
I think Spurs&#8217; squad is suited to the tactics Conte will instruct. Romero in a back three is critical with two natural wing-backs offering huge Fantasy potential.
There are several options to choose from in Conte&#8217;s preferred midfield, as well as a formidable front two.
